I'd say there's about a 0.000001% chance LeBron tries to assemble his next group of super friends with the Knicks.

Hell, he'd be much better off forcing a trade to POR the way CP3 did to HOU, At least here, he'd have a ready built core of Dame C.J. and Nurk to join forces with. I say this 100% in jest as I don't think it is even remotely feasible, but I feel the same way about LeBron going to the Knicks - and that's my point.

BNM

Keep in mind he would need a team that has cap space for all of them. CJ, Dame, and Nurk does not leave room for many of his buddies. Porzingis is still on his rookie contract so adding around him makes more sense to me.

LA is the rumored destination, but NY always thinks they have a chance to pull in big FA's...... even when they don't. And with one of them already there...I can see the Knicks trying.

Well then, prepare to be disappointed. There are zero (realistic) moves that we can make to win now. Perhaps in two years...or not. But not now.

Despite what many think, what we need is not another star. It shouldn't be hard. Olshey says he has assets. If he can't use them, or no one wants them, fire him. But it's time to do something.

But it's time to do something.
I think it's time to collect talent and develop it....when the Blazers are a real threat in the west, the superstars will be turning Ginobli old...Melo and Wade might be Cavs soon....there's going to be at least a year when teams like us are going to be competing for third place.

Explain what OKC just did then. Can't tell me they were any more in position to contend before getting George. They took a risk. At some point we're going to have to take one too.

Iggy was never a great starter - good, but not great. He's only great as a bench player. Even more so now that he's several years older.

I disagree. In his prime, he was a great starter just like Draymond Green is a great starter. His defense and passing were always underrated in his prime because he wasn't a great isolation scorer--the only thing people cared about in non-point-guard stars back then.

Agree. I know we won't trade for a legit all star but there should be obvious roster improvements by the end of the summer. Time to move some of the "project" guys we acquired after LA left. Trade Vonleh and Aminu for Tobias Harris. Try and get O'Quinn and Lee for Harkless, Meyers/Ed/Turner. Do something god damnit! I would hate to look back st Dames career after he retires greatest blazer of all time and know we had a GM too conservative to make something happen when we had him.

OKC is one of the reasons....had George been traded to Portland, we'd be them...competing for the west....difference is the one year rental...and Westbrook wanting to be a Laker according to rumors....George and Westbrook may both leave next year....we have young guys under contract and not so many vital one year deals...Nurk would be our first big deal of next offseason

The trade deadline hopefully some guys raise their trade value quite a bit....this summer we'd be selling low across the board if it's not CJ Nurk or Dame

Yea, sorry, this has been a crappy few weeks for Lillard and Co. I understand he's under contract for a few years, but time is ticking

Oh my God... lol

lol. I find it funny that the people wanting a short sighted move to win now in a time where we will never win the 'ship without injuries to GSW, are mad that we didn't make said moves because later on down the road -- when we COULD win the championship -- Lillard may be gone or too old. News flash: We are only going to win 3-4 years from now as a beginning point. And Lillard will be here. It'll be okay. Breathe.

2021 is our year!

Damn why does all the teams in our division have to get better? Its going to be a fight for the division. The Twolves, the Thunder...well i guess if Hayward leaves the Jazz are screwed but even if he stays the Jazz might not be a whole lot better. I think Hill is better than Rubio. Denver still sucks so there is that. Watch them trade for Carmelo.

So what's up with Danny ainge? he could of potentially had PG and then signed Hayward, just refused to give up some assets
Danny don't do any trades unless its a lopsided one in his favor.

Whiteside is recruiting Hayward to the Heat apparently. The Celtics confidence in landing him also seem exaggerated from reports.

If it make you feel better the division standings are irrelevant. I don't even look at them. Conference standings are the only thing that matters.

They are irrelevant but if you are 3rd in your Division, likely you aren't doing too well in the Conference when GS and SA aren't in your Division.
