Came out yesterday and already debunked.

I am assuming magic figured no one else in the top 4 would choose Ball and thereby getting the same player he would have taken at 2....... Plus netting 10. Glad Sac said no

I think Magic is going to balk on Ball....this draft is an important one for him to get right and he's under the spotlight...I think he'll draft a better player than Ball whichever pick he uses or trades for. I read the Lakers were disappointed in him and given how many players they've worked out...wouldn't be surprised to see them go another direction...the Kings would draft Ball in my view.

What could the Clippers trade that would be better than what we have?

I guess DeAndre Jordan, but why would the Bulls want him when he'd bounce in a year and they'd be rebuilding? They can't trade Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, or J.J. Redick because they're free agents, and the only reason to get Jimmy Butler would be if Paul and Griffin come back.

Clippers can't trade a first round pick until 2021, and they have no young pieces worth getting. They'd have to match Butler's salary however, and the only positive asset of theirs is Austin Rivers.

The best straight-up package that the Clippers could hypothetically put together is: Austin Rivers, Paul Pierce, a 2021 1st Round Pick, and a 2023 1st Round Pick.

#15, #20, and #26, Harkless, and Ezeli would be a better package than that alone.

The only possibility would be something extremely weird like Jordan to a 3rd team, who sends future 1sts to CHI, who sends Butler to LAC while receiving a 2021 and 2023 LAC 1sts as well. However, with Butler being under team control, and able to play SG or SF (which most team needs an upgrade at one of those spots) and Jordan playing C and becoming a free agent next year after he opts out, why wouldn't that team just trade the little bit extra to get Butler instead?

Clippers will not land anyone of Butler's caliber. They're in the exact same boat as the Cavaliers, with having one good big-man to trade but no picks and no young players.

Say we traded #15 #20, #26, Vonleh, Ezeli, and Crabbe for Butler, then shipped out Davis and Aminu to get under the luxery tax. Doing that in order to trade a 2019 1st, Leonard, and Harkless to TOR in a sign-and-trade for Serge Ibaka. Sign Splitter and Amir Johnson (MLE).

Lillard / Napier
McCollum / Turner
Butler / Turner
Ibaka / Johnson
Nurkic / Splitter

Could that team compete with Golden State?

Would clear cap space for Chris Paul.

They'd have
Paul / Parker
Simmons / Murray
Leonard / Anderson
Aldridge / Lee
Dedmon / ?

Makes sense with Simmons and Murray being 2-guards that would be ready to play

Danny Green is who I was hoping Allen Crabbe would be. A solid 3 and D guy. But whenever the Spurs are ok trading someone it usually means something up.

Got a feeling I will wake up tomorrow to some big trade.

As for Butler, why isn't he linked with 76ers more? They got future picks and young assets to get this done. Then again their own picks probably become less valuable when he comes, and they cannot really offer Lakers or Kings pick anymore as one of them will be involved in Celtics trade from earlier on. I think he stays with Bulls for one more season, they won't get an offer good enough. To be honest swapping him for no. 3 would be poor, there is maybe a 10% chance that whoever goes 3rd ends up being as good as Jimmy.

Top-15 player in the draft? Or in the league?

Some say Dame is a top-15 player, so if he's just talking about the league, it could be Dame saying it about CJ.

Just sayin'. FAMS.

(Not that I really believe Kevin was referring to Dame.)

Dwight Howard has been tradued to the hornets for Miles Plumlee, Marco Bellineli and the 41st pick in the 2017 draft

Brook Lopez and a pick to Lakers for Mozgov and Russell
