Disagree. Guess we will see. I think Hayward is better than that and coaches seem to agree because he was an all star last year over plenty of worthy candidates. To pick a better set of stars. I predict Hayward being fairly average as the 2nd/3rd option.
Hahahah what a blunder!Chris Haynes is such a scrub.
Yep. Smart to go east.Wow, can't say I'm surprised
That still gave Jaylen Brown as a backup SF. Smart as a backup PG/SG and Rozier as well.
And they have the assets to get it done. Brown seemed to start putting it all together at the end of the year, tatum looks like he could be legit, smart is a good young guy, crowder is good, bradley is a top defensive player in the league.....IMO, Hayward is clearly the best player on Boston now. Thomas may retain "#1 option" status because he's the team's entrenched leader, he's the point guard and he does have a more of a scorer's mentality. But Hayward is all around better and I think he'll continue to be really good. Boston just needs one more star, now that Horford has declined from star to merely good player.

Plus all those future picks.
Ainge is a stud.
Brown is ready to compete on a nightly basis. He played big minutes in the playoffs last year. Plus, if Hayward signs there it's likely that Crowder will want out. They have 0 depth at PF, do being able to trade one of four SFs for a PF and another future pick makes a ton of sense.Understood, but they want to contend for the #1 seed again and Crowder is a known quantity and dependable. I think they'll want to make sure their young guys are ready to compete on a nightly basis before they move him.
After signing Hayward, it's not like they are desperate to make a move. They aren't up against the arms race of the Western Conference. They were already the #1 seed in the East and added Tatum and Hayward. Other than PHI, who isn't a contender, they are really the only team in the East that has gotten better. They added an all star while other teams in the East are losing them. Why make a trade now just to make a trade?

I feel bad for Utah fans right now. Been there bruhs.

They need a 7 ft 3pt specialist that makes free throws and has very low mileageWhat does Boston need now to compete with golden state? They certainly have the assets to trade for another star to add to hayward, horford and thomas.
At which point Dame will be a FA and take less to get AD here.Anthony Davis is under contract for four more years--there's no urgency to move him and I'm almost 100% certain he won't be moved this coming season. They're going to give the Davis/Cousins/Holiday core a complete year to see how it meshes. In fact, I can't see them moving Davis for at least two years--at that point, he'd still have two years left on his deal, so he'd still have insane trade value.

Are you saying Hayward is Scottie Pippen!!??!!??Hayward is the player we all wanted Nic Batum to become.

I would throw in our 2018 1st rounder to trade neil for him.I bet there are Celtics fans who disagree with you. If he does score Hayward, he still didn't get Paul George, and he seems to be stockpiling assets and whiffing on all the big names. And I have a feeling that not taking Fultz is going to come back to haunt him. The only reason trading the pick that turned into Roy for Sebastian Telfair didn't come back to haunt him is because he lucked into Rondo in the same draft. (Yeah, I know, you could equally well paint him as a genius for getting Rondo at 21, but then why trade for Telfair?)
seems like hes rethinking the decision he made, whatever it was
Maybe his wife told him no more sucky sucky unless he goes to miami hahaLmao if there's this much indecision he should just take the money (Utah)
