But this only measures the times he's actually in position and defending like he's suppose to be. All the times he's lost, out of position, or helping where help isn't needed doesn't show up in these stats. There's literally nothing above average about his game - he has versatility to defend multiple positions because of his length, not because he's a good defender. And honestly, any stat that says Aminu is #2 only to Draymond Green is obviously a flawed metric.Like ok, you can criticize his shot, and his decision making, but to shit on his defense? There's only one other defender in the league that shows up in the leaderboard for spot up and post up defense, and his name is Draymond. Aminu is also near the 90th percentile in points per possession. The only area he struggles in is pick and roll defense. And by struggle I mean, he's average. Overrated? Naw. If anything he's underrated. If he wasn't surrounded by shitty defenders his whole career he would get more recognition.

His DRtg is only two points better than Harkless, and according to half the people in here Harkless is a poor defender.
His DWS is 0.1 better than Harkless.
His DBPM is 0.5 better.
If you compare those across the league, he's ranked at roughly the 100th best...I'd say that's solidly average.
He is an average defender, made worse due to poor decision making.
