they need to change this rule about fouls to give. this actually puts OKC at a disadvantage because they didn't foul earlier. They should have the choice to remove that FTG.
let OKC choose if they want to forego the FTG in the final two minutes. How would you do this in a fair way? Seems impossible.
Only in the NBA is there 0.5 seconds left in the game and then 13 (real time) minutes later there is 1.1 seconds on the clock!
On the bright side I think the Rockets have a better shot at knocking out the Lakers.

in the current scenario, they are being penalized for playing good D for ten of the first 12 mins of the quarter and not fouling. Here's my issue with that:
You're allowing a team who is breaking a rule to decide if they prefer the guy they fouled to shot a FT or not. Why should a team be rewarded for breaking a rule? If they were worried about not being in the penalty, they had 1:55 to commit a foul so they wouldn't be in that position, but then they would have to risk the next non-shooting foul being 2 FTs.

This is some Jeff Van Gundy shit man. I'm not saying it's stupid or anything it's just funny when situationally people decide rules should be changed and those people like JVG usually want a ton of rule changes. It's just really hilarious to me, it makes me enjoy JVG's commentary more actually. If I had my way the game would stay just how it is and teams would just have to learn to play around it... I'm not saying I'm some purist that thinks we should go back to having no three pointers or anything I just think that a team should either be in the penalty or bonus (depending on which team's perspective) or they shouldn't be, the time of the game shouldn't have anything to do with it. I actually don't even love the last two minutes thing too much but whatever, the rule is there. For what it's worth I do have a little Van Gundy in me too, I don't think there should be any defensive three seconds or illegal defense, teams should be able to play zone if they want to. I do however support offensive three in the key violations.they need to change this rule about fouls to give. this actually puts OKC at a disadvantage because they didn't foul earlier. They should have the choice to remove that FTG.
Did anybody else see the replay on the out of bounds play with about 15 seconds to go in the Heat game clearly showing Butler stepping completely out of bounds before he tossed it back to his basket where it was caught by Lopez and he then scored?
Should have been out of bounds..no basket...Bucks ball.
How did nobody see that??
I'd link it if I could lol.
