With tax..... Celtics paying 18million for Jeff Green this season! Ouch!

If Howard goes to new jersey, I don't give a shit if lakers get Paul. I am only worried about Howard. Cp3 doesn't make the lakers better imo

Totally agree.

Well I think CP3 could make the Lakers better, especially if Bynum plays solid, but they'd have some dude named "Character" as their starting PF. They'd be just another team in the mix in the west. Maybe better then before the trade but maybe worse. But if they go CP3+Dwight your talking about dynasty for 10 years.

God damn. Bonzi is at a training camp for an NBA team and BRoy is not.

I agree as well. Without Dwight the lakers would be two minor injuries from the lottery. Now I know you can say that about a lot of teams, but those two players are not durable. (Bynum/Paul)

But with Howard, like yo said.......pretty good for another 10 years.

Give me a break! The first deal ironically gives the lakers 20 mil free, just enough for a Howard type contract. They got no bigs in return, yet they gave away two of them? Please don't tell me you are this naive.

What does that have to do with howard? There are plenty of bigs that would play for thelakers.

I don't understand that move at all.

He just duped their management. That's a lot of money for him.

I do not think it is too outlandish.

Ya. Especially when Prince got 4 yrs- 30mil, and Butler got a 3 years- 24 mil deal. Although the # is right, I don't think it makes much sense for the Magic at this point though.

BTW, that # should be around what we give for Nic and Wallace.

Thad Young 5yrs 43mil and I think he and Batum about on the same level.

I hope for a 5yr 35 mil for Nic, but If he makes this anticipated step in his game we could see closer 45.

Nic is better then Young! Higher ceiling as well. But I'm biased!

I like how our management is shitting the bed. Its going to be slim pickins pretty soon. 2 weeks away from tip-off.

I'm shocked that Paul Allen tweeted about LaMarcus.

I was certain he was oblivious to what was going on.

I hate that I am always negative because this will automatically sound combative towards the team, but did you expect anything different from the team?

Hard to make trades and sign players when you don't even have a fucking GM. Nice move Vulcans. You saved one month's worth of GM salary and fucked over our team for the entire season.

Noah is three years older than Lopez but he's clearly the better player right now.

A Noah/Asik centerpiece package is more appealing that what NJ could offer IMO. A Noah/Gibson centerpiece package isn't enough.

Rose and Howard would be the best duo in the NBA. Scary good.

I'm hoping they can somehow get Howard. And it could be even better if they can somehow keep deng

Howard is willing to sign a five-year, $109 million extension with New Jersey makes it likely that the Nets can be the most aggressive in offering an attractive package. New Jersey has been pursuing possible third-team partners to strengthen the offer for Howard, front-office sources tell Y! Sports.

It now appears Dwight Howard prefers to go to the Nets in a trade rather than the Lakers.

Smith confirmed to the Orlando Sentinel that Howard asked to be traded.

Los Angeles had long been a preferred choice of Howard’s, but sources say that several factors have pushed him toward the Nets over the Lakers. Howard has a strong relationship with Deron Williams, and has also resisted following the same career path as Shaquille O’Neal, who left the Magic for the Lakers two decades ago

The world Orlando and Portland fans live in.

Their superstars bolt just as they hit their prime and our stars never get that chance due to injury.

DeAndre Jordan attempted 17 shots in post-up situations last season, according to Synergy. All season. >>>

That's Joel Przybilla territory.

It's been slim picking the whole time. Especially with no cap space to overpay people with.

Sources say Lakers will instead trade Lamar Odom to Dallas into Mavericks' new trade exception

Let's see... 4 rings, 15 time All-Star, 8 time first team All-NBA, MVP, 3 time Finals MVP, 3 time All-Star Game MVP, over 28,000 career points, over 13,000 career rebounds, over 2700 career blocks, a career PER = 26.4* over a 19-year NBA career and a guaranteed 1st ballot Hall of Famer. Yeah, who in their right mind would want to follow THAT career arc?

* Howard's BEST season PER = 26.0. In his prime, Shaq topped PER = 30 three years in a row, led the league for five straight years and had a 10-year stretch where his PER was never below 26.4
