Warriors offer for Chris Paul said to be favored by New Orleans... Warriors would make a deal without a contract guarantee from Paul. >>

The Warriors are offering:

To Hornets:
Stephen Curry
Klay Thompson
Ekpe Udoh

It's hard to compete with that offer. Great trade for the rebuilding Hornets.

Clippers are active. They have a ton of pieces to trade. Gordon and Jordan for CP3? and then sign Tyson Chandler?

I went to a few Clipper games last year and both Gordon and Jordon are better than i thought. I would take that if I was NO.

LA Clippers look like they'll get Caron Butler -- has other meeting scheduled but hearing he was wow'd by Clips situation and offer.

How are teams offering players? I thought free agency couldn't begin until Friday? Is this a trade?

I think they can come to an agreement but nothing can be official until Friday.

NO should take that offer an run.

Source adamant that Eric Gordon is NOT in Clips' offer to NO for CP3. As Yahoo! reported earlier, LAC, GSW, BOS making strongest pitches.

FletcherMackel Fletcher Mackel
Clippers reportedly offering DeAndre Jordan, Eric Bledsoe, Al-Faraq Aminu &1st round pick for cp3. Another great package. Decisions for dell

Lakers had "cursory" talks today w/ ORL about Dwight Howard, The Times has learned. Translation: Unproductive. No trade proposals exchanged.

If healthy, this team is going to be fun to watch.

PG: CP3
SG: Monta
SF: Wright
PF: Lee
C: Chandler

Since Tyson Chandler is heading to NJ, Butler will be a Clipper and JJ Barea is likely gone, too . . .is Dallas even a top 4 team in the W?

Butler didn't even play when they won the title. Bares and Chandler are replaceable. As long as they have Dirk, Dallas is top 4.

Hilarious tweet by Bill Simmons:

Sources say Lakers targeting Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose and LeBron James. Dangling Luke Walton and Steve Blake as bait.

Felton, Matthews and Batum for Paul.

Paul, Roy, Wallace, Aldridge and Oden.

On paper it looks scary (good), on the court it would be scary (bad). That starting line up wouldn't play more than 3 games together all season. At times it would be Aldridge and bench players starting.

I am not so sure about that. Tyson Chandler seemed to be the missing ingredient from past Maverick teams. He brought that toughness down low. He may be tough to replace.

According to SI this is what Boston has offered:

Rajon Rondo
Avery Bradley
E'Twaun Moore
2012 First round pick
Jeff Green "likely to be part of the deal as well."

Sounds as if the Warriors and Celtics are offering decent value for CP3. As long as that is the case, his getting traded should be a non-issue. If he gets traded to the Knicks or Lakers for pocket lint - then fans have a right to be upset.

Why the hell would G.State offer up Curry without a gaurantee from Paul that he'd sign with them?

^Why the hell do you still get a pay check when you are on S2 all day!!??

What a crazy world we live in. The Clippers, Grizzlies, T-Wolves and Warriors could all be legit playoff caliber teams in the same year (won't happen, but still a possibility).

The Spurs have decided to use the amnesty clause on contract of Richard Jefferson, league sources tell Y! Sports. He has 3 years, $30M left.

WojYahooNBA
Spurs are aggressively in the market for a starting small forward, and amnesty allows them to use full mid-level exception of $5M per year.

WojYahooNBA
Spurs primary target has been Caron Butler, who met w/ them today. However, they've been on phone with agents discussing several options.

ESPN reports that talks between the Mavs and the 6-11 free agent "are essentially frozen." The reason is because Dallas is "determined to maintain as much payroll flexibility as possible for the summer of 2012, even if it means losing" Chandler the site notes.

Ya, I think he will go elsewhere, so they can try to land Deron Williams

of all those rumors, I think NOH gets the most value from the Clips.

Luke Walton's super-insurance contract!

is it Curry, Udoh, Thompson versus Bledsoe, jordan, Minny pick?

I don't think that Clip rumor is a true one, most likely put out by Paul's agent. If the clippers had offered that, the deal would be done already.

I think the Warriors are the ones that have offered though, right?

I was going off of Fez's post...I haven't heard any team say definitively that they've made an offer. Someone correct me if that's not the case. Even the Rondo-for-CP3 one was shot down by Ainge, right?
