if he cleared waivers, would happily sign him and take a flyer on him. Would prefer him to barron.

No you wouldn't. Thabeet is that bad. He's on the level of Peter John Ramos and Ha-Seung-Jin bad. He has no feel for the game. It's clearly too fast for him.

He also has little drive to make himself better. If he ever got good, you could never give him a long term contract. He would never work again.

I'd prefer wasting a million on him to Barron easily.

Looks as if Clippers about to get Paul for Gordon/Kaman and change. Trade has been submitted for leagues approval.

Clippers will make post season now but their depth is questionable to say the least. I wonder if the Hornets are still playoff caliber losing West and Paul? They still have a good roster assuming Landry resigns.

ESPN reporting that Clippers & Hornets have submitted Paul 2 Clips for Gordon, Kaman, Aminu & 2012 1st round pick deal. League reviewing.

The PG stockpile continues for the Wolves. Comical.

From what I've read it's Eric "Bledsoe" not Eric Gordon in the Cp3 package.

Man, Minny doing their best to make sure that NO gets a good 2012 first rounder from the Clips.

If that's true about Gordon not being involved that's shameful on rest of league. Nobody can do better for Paul? This is a joke. How can this deal get passed? Least in previous deal hornets got good players. This is the kinda deal Portland never made.

I agree. Something smells fishy around here.

The Minny pick in what is expected to be a good draft may be the key, plus salary committment is much lower I believe vs the other trade

They would be stupid to back out. Griffin, Paul, Bulter and Gordan? They have a true shot at making some noise in the playoffs. All are pretty young too, so they can be good for many many years too. Although Sterling is still the owner, so....

from what I'm seeing, they want Bledsoe back to be their PG and either Gordon OR the MIN pick.

Honestly, I don't see the Clips walking away from that. Give up the pick, and get CP3 for 2 years. He said that if traded to the Clips he'll pick up his option for next year, delaying his FA period until summer 2013.

I thought I heard on the radio that the NBA was asking for another 1st?

That sounds pretty fair IMO, dropping Aminu and getting Bledsoe (Isn't he out for the year?)

Bledsoe just had meniscus repair in October, and that's a 2month recovery, iirc (the report, not the medical fact).

He should be ok for the season opener, if not soon after.

Gordon and the pick is pretty steep. Would not be surprised if the deal countered by the Clips is Aminu, Bledsoe, Kaman, and a choice of Gordon or the pick.

I think that's exactly where this is going, and I don't see either the Clips or NOH walking away completely. It's head-and-shoulders above any other offer from both a basketball and business standpoint. They're probably better off just taking the pick and rolling the dice that Minny sucks than getting Gordon and worrying about this same thing happening in two years.

The deal is dead.

Gordon wasn't included.

Two mediocre players/prospects, expiring contract and a lotto pick (even if it's early-mid lotto) just isn't worth it.
