Rogers 3-7 4.91ERA vs Nova 6-4 2.99ERA

Game 2

Buehrle 9-7 4.29ERA vs Hughes 4-12 4.97ERA
 
4-0 already. This is why this team will not make a run to the playoffs. The offense is much improved but the pitching just isn't consistent enough.

I don't doubt they can come back from four runs down but how many times can we expect them to do it? They can't continue to have their starters put them into these holes at the beginning of games.

...but with Hughes pitching later, I'm not real confident...course, the way Baseball goes sometimes, with Nova starting off poorly, Hughes will pitch lights out.

does anyone know how bad nunez is hurt? he seemed to start hitting and then the damn injury bug hits.

Of course not, forgive me but every time I see Stewart behind the plate or at bat, I just feel that there is a better solution that the organization refuses to seek. "But we are committed to excellence". Warning, if he starts Stewart in the second game just send the straight jacket to me... I know that's not going to happen, right?
 
And stewart just blasts a long 3 run hr to give the yanks a 6-4 lead

...c'mon, it's already been covered...Stewart in one of the best defensive catchers in the league.

...but yeah, I'd be VERY surprised to see Stewart catch game #2.

Does this move make sense to you, why not Clairborne. Joba, you are up 4 runs and u throw 3 sliders in the dirt. It's like he is afraid to throw his fastball. And naturally Stewart, that great defensive minded, game calling catcher calls for 3 straight sliders...
