So all of these players are awful. Got it. So let's trade everyone then. I refuse to believe that all 18 forwards and 6 dmen can be this lost together and clueless. I'm blaming the system and that's all there is to it. You can say it's all the players. That's your opinion. My opinion is that it's a combination of both players and coaches, with the coaches not putting the players in the best positions to win or game planning to win or being able to make any adjustments. AV continues to just do the same thing over and over again. Spread out in the offensive zone and try the cross ice passes despite Pitt clogging the lanes. On the PP, they refuse to crash the goalie, move the puck with purpose. It's an awful combination of players that aren't willing to do what's necessary to win and a coaching staff refusing to gameplan and adjust.

WHEN THEY DO IT ALL THE TIME, YES!!! Jesus Christ. If it was an occasional thing I'd be agreeing with you, but this is what this team has done all year long on the PP. Slow puck movement, weak shots from the point, and an inability to set up an actual PP

This is Torts all over again. Same knocking of the coaches. Same nonsense.

Blame the professional players not the refs and coaches.
 
Crosby seems to be much more motivated this year than I've seen him in years.
 
You can keep saying AV is fine Al. You do you and keep blaming all of the players. All 24 players obviously have no idea what they're doing. AV is a genius. Got it. You keep thinking that.
 
That's that. The one plus is we can expect a different team next year. Obviously we cannot make 10 moves, but I do expect 4 or 5 moves and a handful of different players here. It is time to break up this core and go in a different direction.

At least you cannot be upset about this kind of crap. What's the point of that.

Did I blame the refs? No. But it's fucking laughable that in one sentence you blame our players and then in the next you talk about how awful our specialty teams are. Seriously???? Come on Chuck. You gotta be kidding me. You can't blame the players constantly and then in the same breath say our specialty teams are awful and give the coaches a pass on that.

E.Staal...what a pickup by Gortomoron. Wide open net and he can't lift the puck. A rookie is outplaying our superstar goalie. What else is new.
 
Has anyone considered the possibility that teams have figured out how to defend the Rangers?

Jesus Christ man...we are playing like sh*t, we are 0-2 on the PP without a sniff, we have ZERO 5 on 4 PP goals in the series, Hank is playing a terrible game tonight, we don't even come close to testing their unproven goalie, and you are complaining about the refs nonstop...wow.

That's what I'm saying. AVs system has been figured out and instead of adjusting he keeps doing the same shit. He keeps trying to spread out the ice in the offensive zone instead of crashing the net and getting the gritty goals that are necessary in the playoffs.

These guys need to look in the mirror and have some pride...forget the coaches.

And that is not to say AV is perfect or blameless, I haven't said that at all, but by far the players should have the biggest spotlight on them, and instead all you see is refs and coaches. That is funny to me.

Just a pathetic effort vs a rookie goalie.

This group of players just can't score in playoffs and on nights they give up goals games are over early.

You need the players to be able to play that type of game. You can't just snap your fingers and decide ok now we're going to be a gritting team. What do you think they tell Nash? Hey Rick we realize you have scored almost 400 goals in your career but do us a favor don't go hard to the net or play a power game. He simply doesn't want to or is afraid to get hit.
 
AV wont change anything because he does not know anything else. He is not a creative coach. The same shit happened in Vancouver. The canucks fans were saying the same thing. The team will get worse as his tenure continues even with different players.

AND WE FUCKING REPLACED TORTS BECAUSE IT WASNT WORKING ANYMORE. You're not good at proving a point Chuck, unless that point is mine. Torts got ran out because his system was no longer working. AVs system seems to not be working either anymore, but you and Al are here defending him. If we miss the playoffs next year, will you still defend him or will you be trying to run him out of here like we did Torts when he missed the playoffs. We have a decent core of players here, and a few moves could make us great. However, I just don't see that with AV and his refusal to adjust and adapt. He has his gameplan and he sticks to it whether it's working or broken.
 
Just get rid of his ass in the offseason and get someone younger and hungrier like Sully.

But Nash isn't the only one. Kreider doesn't do it. Miller doesn't do it. Staal doesn't do it. Hayes doesn't do it. That's a SYSTEM issue. If it's just Nash then it's all on him. When it's countless players doing the EXACT same shit, I blame the coach. A player or two playing soft is one thing. An entire team being afraid to go in front of the net and crash the goal, I blame coaching and gameplanning.
