Re: Jason Quick stirs the shit again

Brandon can be as unhappy as he wants. The team comes before him. He's been paid and he gets treatment no other player does. Roy needs to get with the program. There's a long time left on that contract; after all, he asked for that extra year.

Roy had 7 assists and said he took what the defense gave him, and just let the game come to him vs Minnesota. He stayed within the offense and at no point tried to force anything.

I doubt Roy is mad at all. He's all about winning. Blame Quick on this one for just trying to stir the pot.

Jason Quick ------------> :pokecrap:

:shitstorm:

Re: B-Roy unhappy?

i met quick at a pizza restaurant in NY last December. Hes a nice guy and honestly I think he does a great job covering the team. I mean just cause he said teh obvious about roy shouldnt get everyone hating on him. If you wanna tell yourselves that everything is fine with roy... then just like the pre season... you will be disappointed when he makes a comment to the media which im sure is coming very soon.

the truth about Roy.... he really bothered me this summer when he said he "couldnt help bring in free agents" I mean what an absolute joke of a comment. Roy didnt know a deal was gonna get done lol? I mean then he all but says he hates playing with miller and SULKED during the minny game. All things you wanna see your franchise player do and say. Sorry but roy better get his act together and be a leader cause i dont wanna hear him say "wins are what matters" and then sulk like a little bitch cause he only scored two points while everyone else on teh team has benefited from miller. think LA and oden think miller sucks? roy and rudy need to shut their mouths and play.

Re: B-Roy unhappy?

Am I the only one who saw BRoy laughin it up with Aldridge in the second half while on the bench?

Yeah it makes no sense. When I watched the game, Roy looked happy during the game. What is Quick thinking?

Laughing is with the face. You did not watch his body.

In Clinton campaign tradition - it's the body language, stupid!

So you think he looked unhappy? Funny thing was I saw more "togetherness" the last couple games, than all the first 5. And I posted something about "Body Language" and wasn't taken seriously. So is this a "Only applies when it goes with my debate" kinda thing?

To me, the "body language" is solid. Players are helping each other more, even Roy and Co. are huddling on dead ball situations. I just didn't see none of Roy being "Pissed or unhappy" during the T-pups game.

Re: B-Roy unhappy?

Mags, I don't think you've caught a hint of sarcasm yet since you've posted on here. At least, I am assuming andalusian was joking there.

Re: B-Roy unhappy?

Jason Quick can suck a barrel full of dicks.

He bad mouthed Oden last year.

He had a hard time talking during the 2000-2001 season due to having Damon's cock in him mouth the entire time.\

He loved Jarrit Jack.

Quick is a fool. What does that make anyone who believes anything the fool says?

Re: B-Roy unhappy?

BTW - My inside sources (Pt. IV) tell me that Quick really got that info not from game film - but from Blazers coach - Marc Iavaroni.

:biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh::lol::lol: NICELY DONE! "must spread rep around"

As I said earlier, I'm sure Roy is estactic to be playing as an undersized, off-the-ball SF.

What All-Star SG wouldn't be?

And yet we are 2-0 so far with the line-up change. Go figure?

I'm sure Roy was estactic we won on Sunday. I'm sure he was estactic he didn't have to play 40 minutes in a blowout. I'm sure he was estactic to not have to do so much heavy lifting, and was able to coast through a game and take what came.

Re: Jason Quick stirs the shit again

His unique skill set similar to a Wade and Kobe type? Yeah, that's impossible to build around.
No, that he apparently isn't as comfortable/happy playing off the ball and isn't as solid of a ball handler as either of them. He struggles (relatively speaking) as the primary ball handler and hasn't shown an ability to flourish and co-exist alongside someone better suited to the role.

So Roy cares more about his individual stat lines than our W-L record?

What a jackass.

I didn't say that, did I? He hasn't complained at all about moving to SF. I said I'm sure he's happy about it. Who wouldn't be? You are the poster calling him a selfish jackass.

:devilwink:

One who cares about winning? (Wait: don't I mean: one who doesn't care about winning? The sarcasm is just too confusing.)

I bet Rashard Lewis wasn't too happy about playing PF. Until they made it to the finals. Likewise Robert Horry. Steve Smith, Jalen Rose and Penny Hardaway all thought they were PGs at first. Turned out they weren't.

Now, I'm not saying Roy isn't a SG. He is. But he's not a PG, which is what he's used to being played like in the fourth quarter.

But why are we talking about this like Quick knows jack diddly?

Beat the Spurs w/out Tony Parker for 2.5 quarters and beat the T-Pups.

Plan the parade.

Yeah what's even more silly. That we had a tough time with "teams we should have beaten" with the traditional line-up. Oh and keep in mind, Roy had a nice game playing "out of position" at SF against SAS. I guess he's pretty pissed about that too huh?

So what SHOULD McMillan be doing?

I'd sit Blake and insert Webster into the line-up, but that's just my suggestion. That way, you have your best player at the position he is his best at. Roy is going to get worn down covering SFs, and I don't see this system working against teams like Cleveland, Boston, the Lakers, Denver, or Orlando, to name a few.

I really don't mind being the only poster who thinks it is foolish to expect Roy to play SF for an entire season. If that is the plan, why not trade him to a team with an elite SF that would prefer to have an elite SG?

I didn't say he was pissed. If the team wants a new starting SF, trade Roy to get one who can actually defend SFs.
