This dude doesn't spend his time writing or breaking stories. If you listen to the clip it's clearly conjecture. I can't be sure he's not close with Ben but he's never worked in a place near Simmons according to his linkedin.

just funny how much the radio hit by Dumas that i transcribed earlier today is blowing up. fans from all teams are trashing Ben for that socialite comment that he didn't even make. All over reddit and twitter as well.

If Simmons really doesn’t want to be here I wouldn’t trade for him. He seems like the kinda dude who could sulk his entire contract.
