That's what I find the oddest part about it. It's not like it was one-sided with her. She took plenty of personal shots here. I guess the idea is to cry to the mods behind the scenes, while continuing to goad the poster in the public forum. It's a chickenshit approach to posting, IMO. No wonder nobody is confessing to whining to the mods about her. It's embarrassing.

HEY! I confessed, and I'm not nobody, ya damned hooligan.

Most places, the chickenshit approach is along the coop.

Was it him or Microsuck who started deleting entire threads?

Microsuck is the strong leader this board needs. He banned/suspended me. I respect that.

My 5-year old knows how to spell "friendly". Such poor spelling is atrocious - I'd never allow her to visit this forum. I hate for it to confuse her at such an impressionable age. So much for being "family freindly".

Yeah, sure. Age 5. See Spot run.

Actually, she does. It's what happens when a child's "daycare" has been her mom, grandma, and grandpa every weekday since birth. It's amazing how bright children can be when they constantly have one-on-one attention, as opposed to being shipped to a daycare with 1-2 people for several kids where the kids are left to simply "play".

Seems Dad is completely missing from this equation.

Yes. He is. I was referring to "daycare" - see that daycare is clearly mentioned in my post? As in day-time care. As in, the person or persons that take care of the child (or children) while parents are working. My wife worked part-time from home for a bit. Her parents worked from home and/or did not work (and lived 5 minutes from us).

I assume (if you even had kids) you probably sent your kids to a crap daycare and now you feel guilty.

Seems your post-reading capabilities are completely missing from this equation.

No, I read it right. Just noticed you are under the mistaken impression that the responsibility for your children's education is on other people's shoulders, not yours.

Your wife works harder than you already. Why not spend some time with your kids and teach them things you know best.

No, we didn't use daycare. My wife took 6 years off from traditional jobs rather than farm the kids out to relatives, and I worked 2 jobs. Still found time to teach my kids something nearly every day or night. It's not just a 9-3 thing. Kids learn around the clock. We also joined a co-op preschool where parents took turns as TA once a week. Both of our sons excelled as TAG students, and are among the best educated people I know, so certainly no feelings of guilt how we raised them.

Just saying you're a smart guy, pass that on to your kids. Too many parents think teaching kids is Mom's job. Too many Dads think their bigger paycheck excuses them from many other parental duties.

BG has posted before about how they just leave the kids with the grandparents, and take vacations a lot of husband and wife on their own. Kind of the reverse of what I do as a parent, but to each their own. BG's anger in his posts toward you tell me that he knows he could be a better dad. Thankfully for his kids, they do seem to have grandparents and a wife that care about them enough to try and raise them.

My post was not meant as an attack of BP. Don't know him. I merely point out parenting is a task best performed by 2 fully enthusiastic parents who each contribute to their child's development. Many men act like they get a pass.

It's his answer that tells me he perceived it as an attack. Which is probably a good thing, IMO.

My money is on Connor MacLeod. Forget about the tv version with Duncan MacLeod.

LOL. You guys are way off-base, but I'm not shocked it's the two of you. Papa likes to sweat me for some reason. I don't brag about taking vacations without my kids. Those are conversations how kids hold people back, which I totally disagree. Figure you'd twist the words. We have opportunities and do take trips with and without the kids.

Maris, I ask you.... Do you have kids? Where were they during the day? We're you a stay-at-home dad? Somebody has to work to pay bills. I dunno how you and Papa paid the bills while staying home at tending to the kids. Please do tell me. For that, I would genuinely envy you guys. I thought it was great that my kids never went to daycare and instead spent the day with family. But kudos to you guys for getting to stay-at-home or work from home and take care of the kids at once. I'm truly jealous. That makes you guys extremely rare company.

And Papa, don't judge what you don't know. That's just pathetic and sad. I come home from work, spend 3 hours with my kids, bathe them, put them into bed, and read for 30 minutes before they're asleep. I spend at least one entire day per weekend just my kids and I. We go do an activity out and about during that time every weekend. I'll always strive to be a better parent, but I have no guilt over what I do or do not provide my children. I don judge you, so keep my name outta your mouth or I'll report you (before you think I'm upset and heated, that last line was a joke. Really.)

Naw, you read it wrong. You read it and made it more than it was. You created a story. I give mad props to my wife and my in-laws (my FIL is recently deceased). I mentioned the all specifically and give them credit because I'm giving them a lot of credit. I couldn't do it alone - those three are great individuals and are my support team. I wasn't going to toot my own horn. I guess I should have so you wouldn't just me as a vacant or absent father.

I agree with much of your post. For being smart guy (ornery, but one of the brighter posters), I'd have expected that it wouldn't have been you to misconstrue my post so completely incorrectly. I'll be sure to toot my own horn as a father, though, so next time you don't discredit me as a father.

Yawn.

Pass ignorant judgment on others then turn around and ignore the response. In a very politician-esqe manner. Is this reflective of just your posts, or does it carry over...?

Not mad. Just asking. It's an honest question.

I think you're all liars. You can't have kids as much as some of you post here.

Except for Jlprk. I hear he has a huge litter of neutered kittens.

Calm down. You're getting all fired up again. I'm just joking! Gosh!

Rawr. I'm all worked up. But for really, if your posts are going to be ignorant and judge my parenting (for which you know nothing about), I'd suppose questioning your parenting (even though I know nothing about you or your parenting) are fair game? And I can make fun of your kids? That should be cool.

I ain't mad. But if that's the level of joking we're going to have, I just want to be on the same page. My low filter gets me into trouble as I cross the line by poking fun a little too much at the wrong things. I just like to know the rules/boundaries.

Hold on there. You posted that you drop the kids off at the grandparents for long weekends with the wife. You also have posted that you rely on others to educate the kids, and that you're not really an active dad, but more of a dad who pays the bills. Did I misunderstand these posts? I swear I've read similar things from you?

You can bring my kids into it if you want, I suppose. I take 1 weekend a year with guy friends, as my wife does with girlfriends, and the other weekends are all related to the kids, be it skiing, soccer, traveling, softball, or a family emergency.

I resent that.

I neglect work to post here. Not my kids.

I neglect my kids to post here at times. They are sitting next to me watching DISNEYXD, and I'm bored to tears scrolling about the internet.

Cool. Don't like it when people post ignorantly about you, do you? You know the context of the other discussions about this. You've really switched an twisted some posts. I'll have to try harder to do the same.
