Blazer TV deal, it's.....

Thing is, you're arguing 30 dollars a month for fewer channels, just to watch the Blazers. As I said earlier, they're not worth 30 dollars a month to me.
And thats youre right to decide. But, the option to watch is available if you wanted.

The major complaint i had compassion for were fans not even able to have an option to watch games. Now thats no longer the case. And $30/month. Essentially $180/yr for 6 months of blazer tv, is not unreasonable.

My man Tony here knows what he's talking about if this helps any of you out.....

You know, there are very good quality streams on for every blazers games. Connect you computer to the TV, tada!

I don't care. The NBA is 99% unwatchable for me anyway.

I'm only here for the sparkling conversation and chicks.

I've never even had any large complaints with Comcast. Glad I have it so I can see all the games!
They always offer me the best deal. Every time. Frontier tries to screw me. The only complaint i have is they dont have nfl game pass. But i make the decision to have comcast cause they are cheaper, carry the blazer games, and i make do with nfl redzone. No i dont get to watch all the oakland raider games, but i get snippets of the game. And if i want to watch the game, i drive to buffalo wild wings and watch it.

Decisions. You want directv instead, thats your decision. Dont complain about it amirite?

I think many of you need to calm down. This new deal doesnt go into effect until 2017-18. That gives CSN and DirectTV a year and a half to come to an agreement and CSN it sounds like CSN has serious "incentives" this time to get it done.

Be honest, how much does Comcast pay you to shill for them?

One positive is that it sounds like the Blazers can opt out of this new deal if CSN doesn't get on DirectTV soon.

It sounded to me like it's a 4 year deal instead of 10. Not sure about the opt out.

Comcast has everyone by the balls. They forced themselves back into this deal by threatening to drop Root sports if the Blazers went with them. This company is criminal, and belongs behind bars along with the rest of the criminals.

I tried telling you guys in the other thread.

This is savvy negotiating by the Blazers.

Step 1: Have Seattle newspaper say Root is going to get the contract.

Step 2: Have local paper say negotiations are still open but Comcast's offer is way too low.

Step 3: Sit back and wait for Comcast's new and much larger offer to come in at the last minute.

Step 4: Tell fans that "Things are going to be different this time" while announcing that Comcast's offer was just too good to pass up.

I paid $199 for NBA LP last season. Vue is $30/month. You get 7 months for about the price I paid for NBALP, and you get all the other channels on top of the games. The regular season is about 6 months long, so Vue is a better deal at $180 than NBALP.

I never got the sense the Blazers were about profit. They do use the money they make to run the team and make the stadium improvements, etc.

This is pretty common now guys. Take a look at the Yankees and Dodgers TV deal issues. I'm just sad because getting rid of the KGW option f-cks over the the casual fans who's interest has waned over the years. A lot of people get Direct TV and just go elsewhere to watch the game. It's less and they are not going to change. But really just a terrible offseaon..... I am going to say goodbye to the NBA for a while. This league is becoming comical.

My bet is there will be more Golden State dabs than Blazer fans at Moda pretty soon. At least in a few years, count on it.

I was gonna cut the cord and resign myself to not watching the few national and kgw games but thought I'd wait and see how things played out. Waits over, I'm calling Dish when I get home. I'll just pick up Vue for the Roku and I'm good. Plus saving $70 a month. The only other option here is Charter.

nah...that won't ever happen...they'll just be like the Lakers used to be and have fans speckled everywhere but I have faith in the Portland fans...hang in there dude...the chaos will pass.

one question, is CSNNW available on Vue's $29.99 package or $34.99?

Damnitt! PA needs to read "The Art of the Deal". Or send some people to school. This is worse than it was for 10 friggin years. We at least got some games on KGW
now nothing.

Why hell are the Blazers so fucking timid? Dumb even. The Warriors can negotiate a contract with Comcast that includes Dish and Directv at the basic package prize and the friggin Blazers sign and hope they do it. That is plain simple ignorant.

I can not see an advantage for the Blazers in negotiating such a weak friggin deal, so that leaves but one source of the problem , dullards on the job.

It's like they don't give a fuck about fans who don't have an option here.

This pisses me off far more than any free agent or trade or draft pick bust will ever.

Looks like I'm going to be without games on TV for another 5 years. Yippee.

Now we are in the same boat.

But I can turn on my tv and just watch league pass. How many hoops does someone have to jump through to watch vue on any tv?

According to my bank statement from last april its $35.

It's really not hard at all.. It's pretty much the exact same as turning on your TV and cable box or whatever and going to the right channel.
