They didn't offer us much of anything; just the same Internet (105Mbps) plus basic cable for $140. We dropped to 25Mbps only for $70.

With the customer loyalty team? Damn, they didnt wanna help you guys out lol.

I wonder if they price out different zip codes and offer better deals to generally lower income zip codes

I'm sure it's a coincidence, but an hour after moving from 100Mbps to 25 Mbps service, our speed has indeed changed... from 100 to 125Mbps. I wonder if she fat-fingered something.

Your laughing now till your $200 cable bill comes.

You have to scare them...make them think you are really leaving...put the fear of direct TV in em

Thats what i do but i scare them with frontier internet and cable. Then turn down first offer. 2nd offer is always too good to refuse

Gold level with 100Mbps internet and HBO, plus two cable boxes and two remotes we forgot to return... :sigh:

Total bullshit. Such a racket.

I'm not in favor of adding more government usually, but internet needs to be a utility. The UN just ruled that internet is a human right. I'm tired of shitty companies like Comcast and Verizon gouging people over things like data. It's a total fucking scam.

FCC said the internet is a utility like last month.

There's a serious conflict of interest when a television provider also holds the reigns to the internet. They're extremely unhappy about cord cutting so they're gouging us. I would MUCH rather have a government run utility providing high speed gig internet. Sick of Comcast's shit.

I don't know if this has been posted or not BUT, Local network channels are NOT live on Playstation Vue. A couple channels like abc, NBC, and Fox have an "On Demand" option so you can watch shows like Modern Family for example but you can't watch live programming. You will need an alternative such as over the air antenna to watch local stuff LIVE such as Katu, Kptv, etc...

How would that work for sports being played on ABC, NBC, CBS, etc? Would it not be broadcasted live on PS?

and if you have more than 1 location you want to watch TV, you have to add 5mbs to your speed total for each one, which increases the cost. Not everyone has 100mbs internet, so the whole "it's just 30 bucks a month" is company spin.

Thats correct, you would need to watch them over the air or some other way. At least that's how it was for me when I had it from like February-May of this year. Sounds like it's still the same.

I'm not totally sure I understand this, are you saying if you want to watch on more than 1 tv at a time you need faster internet speed than the recommended 10 mbps? It would make sense due to the HD live streaming. Can't wait for Google Fiber to come to town. Im currently rocking the 100 mbps but my comcast speeds are all over the place.

Tivo makes an OTA DVR. I'm pretty sure the UHD/4K Bolt does OTA as well. What Tivo doesn't do is DVR for Vue.

I'm pretty sure there are solutions out there for adding DVR capability to any generic video input, such as the output from a device that supports Vue.

I know Vue has a built in Cloud DVR and you can favorite shows and what not and it will automatically keep episodes to watch up to 28 days.

Do they work okay deep inside a house or do I need to run it out to like the window or something?

I just have my rabbit ears sitting behind my TV, I do live in an apartment complex though so your situation may be different.

I ordered one off of Amazon that I hang on the top of my wall next to a window. My channels don't always come in very clear, but if you live up there you'll probably be okay.
