Am I missing... Oh never mind. I see your edit!Adrian Wojnarowski@WojYahooNBAChris Kaman has reached agreement on a two-year, $10M deal with Portland, league source tells Yahoo Sports
Just tweeted . . . no sign and trade?
Edit: Wrong! that was an old tweet . . .
Why would the Lakers want to do that? They want to clear cap space too.

When does the moratorium end? It would be great we could retain our MLE for other deals. Then again, if this is done via MLE and we get other deals via trades, that's fine as well.
I was tearin up NYC this past weekend and didn't really follow what was going on much. Saw this news and immediately felt deflated since I wanted a lot more.
I read it as random speculation by someone who knows as much as you or me.Very interesting. So am I correct that we don't know if it's a sign and trade?

Because a third team with a $3M trade exception wants Freeland and sends LA a draft pick?
But seriously.
If we did a sign and trade then after acquiring Kaman we'd still have 2 or 3 roster spots available. Maybe we'd be splitting up the MLE? Al-Farouq Aminu as a defensive SF with Ekpe Udoh as a defensive big? Then still keep Mo or whatever BAE PG we can get.

Isnt' Aminu still pretty young? I'd be shocked if he went for only the BAE.
