Waited until after they knew what pick they had coming.

What were the Timberwolves valued at when that agreement was signed? Glen Taylor was an idiot though - so most sellers probably would have profited far more than him.Teams always sell for more than they're valued at. Despite its issues, the franchise is one of 30, in an insanely elite group.

No, I agree they were probably announcing either way today. They would of just been asking for more if we had the golden ticket handed to us yesterday.I heard somewhere that Flagg potentially brings in an obscene amount of value for whatever team gets him.
So it makes sense to do it after. But not necessarily caused by losing out on him.
Don’t think it would have gone through by the draft. If someone said “I want them today” and it doesn’t go through in time… Who actually makes the decision come draft day?No, I agree they were probably announcing either way today. They would have just been asking for more if we had the golden ticket handed to us yesterday.
That would be phenomenalWe will be selling to Mark Cuban!
It will be great news if the team stays in Portland and doesn’t relocate somewhere else.Great news, after 30 plus years the franchise will be rid of Bert Kolde!
Multiple people have been saying this. But he just doesn't have the wealth to even register in that neighborhood. I guess he could own like 1% of the team but be a spokesperson?Serious ish question.
Does Dame put together a group to buy the team? Then retire if they win the bid?
Why? Removing the Northwest drastically changes the geographical impact of travel for the entire league. Having a team somewhere like Vegas rather than here suits the NBA’s recent agenda too much to think that they wouldn’t be fine if the NBA didn’t exist in the PNW.I would think the league would block the sale if there was a plan to move the team. The league would still want a team in the PNW. Unless it's to move to Seattle. Could you imagine the Blazers being renamed to the Seattle Supersonics? Dear God.
I don't know if this is a good thing. The Allens' deep pockets were a nice luxury for a small market club. There's also not a lot of mega wealthy people that have ties/loyalty to Portland or Oregon.
DoneSomebody please DONT copy and paste Crapzano's article. He's a clueless ego filled idiot.
In fairness, there is a chance. All of you who think there is any chance the team will move when sold

It could though…I have a chance at winning PowerBall but it ain't gonna happen.![]()
Exactly. It’s higher than that though. It would cost the new owner billions to get out of the leaseI have a chance at winning PowerBall but it ain't gonna happen.![]()
NoWould you guys still be Blazers fans if they moved to say Vegas? I do not think they will move. NBA wants us here when they bring back the Sonics.
Have you given anything to the Lakers recently? Apparently they’re the ultimate good luck charm.I have a chance at winning PowerBall but it ain't gonna happen.![]()
There are degrees. Paul Allen vs Elon? No comparison. There are non-horrible billionaires? Well, if there are
(a) they just became a billionaire, but
(b) they won't be for long because they plan to give it all away
