I am loving the intensity tonight. Hard fouls, good penetration to the basket. Gotta stop Lawson from getting to the hole, though......even if he isn't 100%, and it looks like he's wearing down more and more as the game goes on (and as he gets sent to the ground!).
 
Crazy but most of what we talked about needing improvement is happening tonight.
 
Stories of the first half:

Nic: 8/12, 5/7 3pt, 21pts, 3 reb.
Lillard: 5/7, 2/2 3pt, 13 pts, 5 ast.
LMA: 6/14, 12 pts, 3 reb, 4 ast.

Only 3 of LMA's 14 FGA are in the paint, but he has 4ast...is he playing the Camby role from the high post and passing to cutters? Passing out of doubles?

While some may say you can't sustain a high 3pt% like the current 61%, we also are 0-4 from the right corner. Normally that's one of the best % shots in the league--efficiency-wise.

This has been about Batum and not the team.

Batum's having a good game and being aggressive. He's hot right now and his 3 is falling, as 5 of his 8 made FG's are 3pt shots. When you're a streaky player you're hot and cold, and right now he's hot. There will be games where he's cold. I could easily just come back and point those games out when they happen and this can go on forever.
 
This game is far from over. Let's hope stotts keeps these guys focused for the second half
 
I was praising NO for their moves this summer . . . got to say they don't look good to start the season. Tyreke not living up to contract

And this is exactly what I was talking about. You will never be happy about him. If he does well, you're pissed because "he won't do this next game".

I don't think NOP is close to being done tinkering. I can't see Holiday/Gordon/Tyreke co-existing, when it looks like Davis is the next incarnation of a non-douchey KG.

I don't know who will be going, but I don't think they're done.

No player in the NBA shoots the same and scores the same every single game. No one does it. Why are you holding Batum to that standard?
