Neil got very awkward trying to explain away not hiring Hammon. Mentioned here then went off a wild tangent. He was very uncomfortable in that moment. Basically said he like Becky but Chauncey was always his guy.

Neil basically said he isn't going to trade for another star with his there are other ways answer to win championships. I don't think we will see much change this offseason roster wise.

Probably see Collins go and someone like Olynyk signed. That's about it.

Neil laid the blame on Stotts, and he said it wasn't a roster issue, so I guess he's willing to die on that hill?

You just might be reading too much into it. If Dame was there, everyone would want to hear from him istead of the GM and new coach.

I honestly think it's in Dame's best interests to not be there today. Whatever he could possibly do by being there would just be spun into some story by the media. He's the most high profile personality on the team. If he's there the focus will always be on him.

Neil threw Stotts under the bus by saying the roster way underachieved and is now even setting up to use Billups' inexperience as an excuse since he's talked so much about his potential being the reason for the hire. It's not that Billups is the best now, but they believe in his potential.

If you want experience, go with MDA
If you want upside, go with CB
