Should go a bit farther, IMO. Seeing as he looked like he was waiting all game to do that.

We lost, got our asses kicked. But come on, there's gotta be some civility to it.

Exactly. And we lost 4. Currently, we are not what our record says we are.
.

YES we are. We are the 7th best team in the NBA so far this year. Can't win em all. Pacers lost 4 straight but they're still a contender. 4 games don't tell the tale of a whole season. We are fine. 23 teams wish they were us right now.

Games in November count the same as games in March.

A win is a win and a losing streak is a losing streak.

My friend, we are on a losing streak. That's quite a bit different from the beginning portion of the season.

Stotts and company need to rally the troops and get ready for the Pelicans.

I agree. I PM'd him and asked him to stop. The vast majority of his posts have been fine so I'm giving him a warning before the ban hammer comes out.

We had a 5 game win streak not long ago. This was just a tough trip. Jordan's Bulls always got swept in Texas. What's important is that we bounce back over these next two weeks. We'll be fine. With or without Aldridge. If Mo doesn't come back though, I want Barton getting his minutes.

You do realize how ironic you're sounding right now, right?

Let me be very clear. I am not saying our season is over, I am saying CURRENTLY we are not like our record.

I don't make grand "season over" posts like you do over a 4-0 run within a game. We suck NOW, Indiana sucks NOW... I don't cast a wide net like you do (and assume that everyone else does, too). You need to get that distinction.

Well that sucked and this whole road trip has sucked. Its hard not to get pulled down into a big wave of negativity and its not that we aren't a good team but we are not playing like a good team. We are not playing close to how we played earlier in the season and you can just see that by the ball movement, we got that back on our win streak but recently it has gone back to little ball movement and when there is we pass from the open shot more times then not.
I'm still optimistic but we need to get back to the "magic" that we started with, and not the Mathews tearing it up but the ball movement and trust in each other that doesn't seem to be there at the moment.

THIS is what I was trying to say all along, KS! Thanks Rhal!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Rhal again.

No problem and you can just rep me some other time lol

So when we won 5 straight, we were awesome. And now we've lost 4 straight, we suck. But if we win 5 in a row again, we're awesome again? It doesn't work that way. We're a very good team on a tough road trip in which they came back from 30 down and nearly beat Dallas and had a 13 point lead in Houstom but lost. It was always going to be a tough trip no matter how good we are. When Jordan Bulls got swept in Texas, did they suddenly suck? No. Of course not. We're a very good team. Indiana is a great team. Miami is champion (and they've lost 4 of last 5).

But we won against non-playoff teams and are 0-11 against the last eleven playoff teams. So it's not exactly equal.

Wins are wins. Doesn't matter who they are against, but if you care to know, we have an 8-7 record against all the current division leaders. That is phenomenal. That might be best best in the NBA.

Ummm also, Brooklyn is a playoff team. Brooklyn has the best record in the NBA since Jan 1st and we beat them by 40+. You're 0-11 record is wrong. We also beat Hawks who are currently a playoff team even though I'm pulling for NY.

Yes but as teams gear up for the playoff run, none of those wins for the Blazers is from recently when teams are trying harder for playoff position.

Not to take away from the great start but it's been quite a while since Portland beat a division leader. 0 for their last 11 against playoff teams is a much better indicator of how they are playing now than 8-7 versus division leaders.

Wrong!

Blazers 124
Brooklyn 80
2/26/14

Brooklyn is playoff team with best record in NBA since Jan 1st. That game was just two weeks ago.

Great....1 win against a sorry East team that would be miles out of the playoffs in the West. I was just going by what one of the commentators said tonight but I mis-quoted. Apparently it was 0-11 against Western Conference playoff teams out of their last eleven games. Since that is who they would be playing, it seems relevant.

I'm less worried about 'right' and 'wrong' and more concerned with how the Blazers are playing right now.

:matrix:

Pup - you gotta switch your sig... it's not march 26th. lol, it's buggin me!

I'm looking forward to seeing the Blazers without LaMarcus. We'll get to see more T-Rob! More free flow and less fade away jumpers. We should trade LA for a pick and use the cap space to sign someone else. 2 for 1.

Holding out for more Barton playing time. :D

:matrix:

Well, for what it's worth, we don't have a game on the 26th of March, 2014... so it'll be factually inaccurate regardless. haha.

Brooklyn is a legit contender. Best record in the NBA since Jan 1st. 3-0 against champion Heat. If you're all about what a team has done lately, Brooklyn should be your top pick to win it all, not some "sorry East team" because of how they played in Nov/Dec.

I'm okay with trading LA... but for a pick and cap space? He's not that old.

You are overreacting to a few weeks of just above average basketball. You want to trade a guy who led us with 31/25 in a win over Houston? Or his 44 against Denver? What about his 38 vs OKC? Aldridge is a top 10 player in the NBA. You don't trade that.

Was I not clear enough?
