Damn looks like Clingan not gonna get another block this game

rupert needs to just pull on these catch and shoots. footwork is messy when he tries to take rhythm dribble

First full game I watched Clingon is legit while I don’t see star I definitely see player way better than Pryzbilla. Definitely possible starter at some point, his defense at least in the paint is really good. He forces teams to adjust anytime they go in the paint. Maybe best defensive center we’ve had in a very long time.

I wanted us to take him and we could’ve. Pissed me off. He has a Chris Mullin flair about him
I'd like to tow the company line, and believe Portland sold their decent 2nd round picks because this draft stunk.

The thing about skipping rookies, is future criticism can't keep up with future activities.

"So what if X team got Y player. The Blazers have Z player now, and Y player wouldn't work in Portland's roster."

Murray has no confidence. I was listening to Marang and he said that everyone was raving and Murray when they scrimmaged the Chinese national team. It seems like the problem is between his ears.

They should let Mike do his job and draft more instead of saving money for Jody.
Portland was over the luxury tax. They had to sell the picks. It's not Cronin's fault. This is the easy selling point.

What's closer to reality, is the Blazers GM went nuts with Jody's credit card, and put the team into the luxury tax. Perhaps an attempt to build a more competitive Blazers, with the stealth tank on standby after trade deadline.

Since we're not in the Front Office, fans have no clue what offers were available to duck the tax. Backup plan delta tango 'sell the picks' was initiated. A few other teams sold their picks. Portland simply jumped aboard the cash consideration train.

Now, we should all zip it, enjoy the new 7'2" monster rookie, and quit the snarky attitudes. GO BLAZERS !

Cronin taking Murray over Leonard Miller is one of his biggest misses so far.
Yep. I wanted Prosper, but Miller was the back-up plan.

I thought Murray could be a solid rotation player if he could hit 3's, but that 33% in college worried me. That and his inability to attack close-outs or create.

Clingan hit more 3 pointers (2), then 8 other Blazers combined. (0-27 from the usual suspects)
