Not like this game mattered so this more of a general point; I’d rather lose a game missing a bunch of open shots off good actions than win one with a bunch of tough, contested makes. That stuff evens out during the season and in a playoff series, as we’ve seen in the past. Today I saw a bunch of bricks on wide open shots. You can live with that.

Whats your take on the defense?

I just want to get a win under Billups even if it doesn't count to break the ice

41-41
9th place
1st 30 games…..12-18

I’m not mad and frustrated by this at all….. it’s to be expected in a season of transition. Trust me, there will be a lot of this happening this season.I want to know how my dude who predicted 54 wins feels to be honest?
Preseason rarely means anything….. or does it?

I tell ya what, When I was asking who our 3rd string center was, because we were going to see a TON of him this season, and people snapped out Nance and how he would be fine. Wondering how they felt when they saw Javelle FUCKING McGee look like a combo of Shaq and Wilt out there on like 5 straight dunks on him in the first. Ouch.

It’s natural that a defense that relies on rotations as much as this one doesn’t just evolve over night. I wouldn’t judge it either way until like end of nov/early dec.
Facts.

The problem with those lobs was due to not enough ball pressure being applied to the ball handler with the big high. Called this out during the game and the first time we applied proper ball pressure, their lob attempt turned into a turnover. It's on the guard more than the big. Having a 7'1 guy wasn't going to break that up. You gotta stay attached to the ball-handler through the screen.

The two I remember were not over Nance. Maybe it was his fault, maybe not, but either way, Nance was at the free-throw line guarding someone else. That is a coaching adjustment.

If Zeller were playing, he would be able to neutralize McGee.

They were probably too excited to sit courtside at the WNBA finals tonight to focus on the game.

This is definitely Dame’s last year here.. enjoy him and quite frankly don’t blame him
