Are we sure this is the entire trade? Like, there's not a 3rd team included?

As much as he's a good defensive player and a better PG than what the team has, his contract is fucking huge.
 
Someone please tell me what Cronin is doing cause if this and the the pick at 11 is the only thing that happens then I am going to want help in running Cronin the FUCK out of Portland and the state of Oregon.

Jrue is 35 years old, and has 3 years left on his contract for $32.4M +

I like Jrue as a player, but why pick up so much $ on a 35+ year old? Plus add a couple second round picks to make the deal happen? Odd.

Any details on legalities when/if Jrue can be dealt to another team?

Well if the trade is already finalized then Jrue can only be traded by himself, his salary can't be aggregated with another player's from our team going out to another team. We can definitely trade him on his own though, just like we did to the Celtics when we acquired him from the Bucks.

If the trade isn't finalized then we can do whatever we want to augment the trade but the Celtics would have to sign off on it.
 
Those of you who wanted the vets gone at any expense are getting their wish.

This will hopefully clear the way for the young guys and provide veteran leadership. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s dealt again before the draft.

Dude, I can't believe you asked me if I was high because I think Dame's contract is the worst in the league... while you continuously post drivel like this.
 
Assuming Scoot still starts, I kind of like it. I give two shits about 2nd round picks. Face it, the league was just as aware of Ants short-comings as we all were. I wish him the best though, seemed like a good guy. Obviously don't love Jrue's contract but I'm going to hold out hope this means Joe's planning on getting out from under Grant's contract somehow. In the meantime, we significantly upgraded the PG position and now Sharpe is our clear shooting guard.
 
Somebody please break down the Dame trade and what this all means now!!?? Did we win it?
