I don’t think Randle fits what billups is looking for out of players mentality wise. Actually, I’d say he’s probably the exact opposite of what he’s looking for. Forget this whole idea of pairing Dame with another all star. That’s not part of Chauncey’s idea of how to build a winner imo.

OG is a Billups type, as is Dort. Haven’t watched enough of Collins to make a judgement on him.
You can get OG and Randle.

When was the last time a team with only 1 all star won a title? Doesn't happen. We need talent.

was listening to some podcast earlier (forgot which one, they all sorta blend together right now).

they were talking about Jabari going #1 and how their roster already has Wagner/Isaac. Isaac is the obvious guy they'd like to move, but if Wagner was available in an effort to open up room for Jabari....for #7, would you do it?

I'd give it serious consideration.

absolutely, because I think Chauncey loves having a top-10ish player who happens to be the best team leader in the league.

Wish that would quantify better. Best team leader....I wish that would result in more wins than an average of 2 Playoff wins per season for his career. It's not to diminish who he is, or how good he is, but I hear that thrown around a lot and wish it manifest itself in more actual team production results. He's very talented, but how can be be a leader on defense? He walks the ball up the court the vast majority of possessions, so isn't leading, but is trailing most or all of the team as they come up the floor.

Just wondering if a player of his caliber AND style can be the leader of a championship caliber team?

If he can lead the dumpster fire masquerading as an NBA team to the playoffs, including a trip to the conference finals once, why not?

I’m all in on the OG.

Love what he brings and I think he could be a star. Excellent defense as well. Chaunce would be smitten.

the fuck is this wording...

making it seem like Detroit is the one deliberating that deal.

the Blazers made it into the playoffs for 8 straight seasons with a 'healthy' Dame. In this last season and supposedly the best roster since the Aldridge team, by far (heard that here a lot), but, an injured Dame, his teammates managed a record that was 13 games under .500 by the trade deadline

so, I'd say the problems you are blaming Dame for aren't really on Dame...it was the dumbfuck GM he had for a decade

I don't necessarily disagree with your post.

I'll just add Dame playing fucking horrible contributed to many losses last year. Blazers would been better if he played 0 games. Also trading 4 starters for Hart, Didi, and scrubs. Then benching Nurk, Simons and others.

We didn't trade away 4 starters

We didn't trade 4 starters

Let's say they did trade 4 starters, the team realistically had 1 starter worthy player (CJ) and one player who should have been a backup (Norman) and the rest was crap going out (on the Blazers).

Yes, that includes Roco.

Plus, I really doubt it's Detroit debating over thinking that deal (7th pick). They'd take that deal running.

Give them the 11 we get back in the Randle deal. They'd take that and run as well.

Blame? I see a couple of questions in the post and some wishes, but no blame.

It's his attitude that influences his defense. When he is engaged, he can be quite a good defender. 4x in his career, he has had a defensive rating at 109 or lower. That said, there are plenty of times when he is not engaged, and that would make me nervous.
Cmon TB, you should know not to use DRTG to evaluate an individual player

I've seen 3 teams trades before where all teams got better. This is a trade where all three teams pay out more than they receive.

LOL just a horrible deal for Atlanta, this person who suggested this on some crazy drugs

really, given Isacc's injury history, when is the last time he played? No thx for me

Rather trade Ant for Wagner and something then pick the best wing available at 7
