I swear, if Blevins is on the team next season…

Dude is built like a Mercury station wagon. You can't kill that thing. My mom drove one for years. It was a tank.

More confirmation of Blazers-Hawks talks, this time from Hawks beat reporter:

https://theathletic.com/3361684/2022/06/14/atlanta-hawks-nba-draft-prospects/

Daniels is unlikely to be on the board at No. 16, but if the Hawks do trade up to potentially No. 7 in a deal with Portland (and discussions have occurred, according to sources), he should be Atlanta’s pick if he’s available. The Hawks need more perimeter defenders, and he’s arguably the best one in the draft. Additionally, Daniels’ ability to be a playmaker with a point guard’s handle should be intriguing to Atlanta.

Daniels isn’t the perfect prospect — he shot 25.5 percent on 3s and 73.7 percent on his free throws, and he isn’t too explosive of an athlete. The Hawks should be looking to find players who fit long term with Young, and there may not be a better option than Daniels. He’s long, a great passer and has positional versatility defensively. That’s what the Hawks need more of.

Number of regular season games played by John Collins:

2019-20....41 games
2020-21....63 games
2021-22....54 games
just also realized again... the 19-20 season, collins was suspended for 25 games for testing positive for some growth hormone.

Looooooooooooonnnng story but.........I had to drive one almost identical to the above ocean liner when I was 16 years old (and just licensed). I was "assigned" to drive a carload (the damn thing holds a frickin' battalion) of younger kids from Cannon Beach to Seaside, while the old folks stayed at CB drinking, BBQing and adulting. "Tank" doesn't even begin to describe it. It made my dad's Ford LTD look like a Mini Cooper. I have spent the past 4-5 decades wondering how any of us were able to wheel those monsters around back in the day. Geez, you had to start turning the wheels about 3 blocks from the corner just to make the turn......

I remember someone hit my mom and there wasn't a scratch on the damn thing, but the other car was totaled. It was hilarious. It was built like a Sherman tank.

if you're taking about injuries, the real numbers of missed games are 21, 1, 9, 28. Quite a bit different than your numbers

Doesn't matter the reason they were missed, just the fact that they were missed. Injury or for other reason, if players are consistently missing games, it is not good.

Doubt it’s true but he’s a different prospect if he is indeed a full 6’11”/7’0” in shoes.

You’re now talking new-school center

Well, according to this board, if he is no longer considered a forward and looks to be a center than he should be dropping down to late first, early second round of the draft. I'm sure we could do a trade with the Milwaukee pick to trade in and get him.

Are you comparing Banchero to Duren? Really?

the narrative is so confusing. while i love Jabari the prospect, I can't understand how Paolo is not the clearcut #1. This is the perfect epitome of the groupthink that embodies mockdraft culture.

Blazers star Damian Lillard has an existing relationship with Grant dating back to their Team USA days, and Portland spent much of the 2021-22 season dismantling its roster to rebuild around Lillard. While adding Grant wouldn't turn the Blazers into a championship contender, he could be a solid third piece on a contender if Portland can find a second star.

Marc Stein reported on April 3 that the Pistons rebuffed an offer of Josh Hart and draft compensation for Grant before the 2022 trade deadline. Portland has the No. 7 pick in next week's NBA draft, though it feels unlikely the Blazers would move a mid-lottery pick for an expiring contract.

Has Stein met the Blazers? It’s EXACTLY what they’d do

I disagree, I think we'll see the team trade Bledsoe and 7 for Collins and 16. Then we'll move 16 for Grant. We'll do that even if it takes sending 36 in either of the trades. If we're really serious about making Dame happy then we'll trade a S&T Nurk, Hart, the Bucks' 2025 FRP and the Pistons' 2025 SRP to Phoenix for a S&T Ayton at the 5 year max and Crowder. We'll then use the TPMLE to sign a backup C and an in case of emergency backup PG both for just over the vet min they could get elsewhere.

Dame, Ant, Grant, Collins, Ayton, Crowder, Nas, Justise, FA C, FA PG, Keon, Trendon, Greg and Didi. I don't know if that's a contending roster but I think it's such a drastic improvement that national sports media will be saying it is. National sports media was also all about picking up DJJ and RoCo and look how that turned out.

You forgot Bad Boy Blevins

Yeah, I didn't mention Williams either who unlike Blevins already has a two way contract for next season and I think our other two way will go to pick 57. I also think that if the team is serious about Ayton that if the Bucks first and Pistons second isn't enough for him that they'll move the Pistons second and possibly the Pelicans future second that we own to Chicago to take the conditions off of the pick we owe them so we can send one of our future first rounders along with the Bucks to Phoenix to get that deal done.

National media was down on us (Lowe had us at 6th seed) after we made it to the WCF. National media will be very down on us this year (10-12 seed range) unless we land Kevin Durant. Then we'll have top championship odds.
