Blazers vs Rockets Game thread

Wes probably just wanted to make the youngsters feel a part of the team, and also got a free trip to Vegas out of it.

I hope he has a blast the rest of his time there, because he's a very bright guy who has a future as a coach in the league. It wouldn't surprise me if part of his reasoning for even being on the roster was to see how assistants work with young players, without him being one of the young players being coached.

My post came off negative... I didn't mean it to be. I'm just pleased that he's getting out of the way now :)

Chris Haynes: Also, #Blazers G Damian Lillard is mic'd up for NBA TV. 4 minutes ago

in the practice interviews he basically said he was gonna play the 1st game only, wanted to come down and greet the new guys, mentioned that he sees himself as a leader, and wanted to prove it, and work on his post up game

Not getting the Laughing Guy emoticon. He didn't really work on his post-up game in the first game. Unless you were agreeing with me? Hard to tell.

Whatever happened to that Brainiac Guy, though? :dunno:

when he said work on his post up game, he kinda chuckled, i think he was trying to justify it to the team or coaches or something, and i thought it was funny

not everything is about you g man

Hard to tell some times, DD, if it's about me or not in a lot of posts. :)

I'm not wild about Wes as the starting SG, but he can become a very good 6th/7th man, and his attitude is his best asset. He can flat-out shoot, too. I'll give Cho credit when he said that Wes is an outstanding spot-up shooter from the corner from 3, because he is and has proved it.

I agree. And I think we need to bury Wes in the corner and bring Batum out of it.

It's supposed to change over when the ads end, but our game has already started. WTF

Yep. Lillard off the PnR, or a FB drive, and set up Wes for the corner three off of a secondary break if Batum or LMA aren't able to fill a FB lane.

FB 101 right there.

Free trip to Vegas to enjoy plenty of strippers. Don't tell me you wouldn't make an appearance in SL for that (if you were even remotely decent at bball).

Probably. I got a buddy who see's him out at Club 205 occasionally.

Yeah. If Wes is our starting SG (which as our roster is now, I would expect), this is exactly how you run the O. Keep Batum in motion.

Lillard has a sweet shot IMO/

I heard the announcer say they are playing the Cavs game on this link next. I hope its Blazers

Sweet pass from Lillard.
