They can't double him. Aldridge will have a field day if they try to double Lillard. So how else are they going to slow him down? Danny Green? I highly doubt that Danny Green is going to slow down Lillard.
Go look at Dame's numbers against the Spurs this year, and last year as well. If the Spurs were going to stop him, they would have already done it. He has absolutely torched the Spurs in 8 games so far in his career. I don't see them magically figuring him out.
Duncan will exhaust himself as well. Aldridge has no problem playing Duncan straight up. He's done it for their entire series vs. each other. Rarely you see Duncan or Aldridge guard anyone else but each other.
They said the same thing about Patrick Beverley.
There is nobody on your team that can stop Damian Lillard.
Duncan's jumper is exactly the shot we want to see, especially at crunch time.
Are you talking about Lillard? Damian Lillard? The Damian Lillard who averaged 25.5 ppg, shooting 47% from the field and 49% from three? The Damian Lillard who shot 8 free throws a game at 88%? The Damian Lillard who averaged 6.3 rebounds from the point guard position, dished 6.7 assists, and had 1.3 steals per game?
THAT Damian Lillard?

Can't reason with a Spur's fan that thinks Tiago Splitter will do a better defensive job on Aldridge than Howard.
He's gonna light them up too. Watch. They haven't been able to guard him either.
So Splitter is soft, but somehow he's going to defend the best low post player in the league much better than two elite defensive centers? Apparently Splitter became the best defender in basketball.
This'll be fun to watch.
The Blazers offense is going to roll. It was elite all year long and matches up fine against the Spurs personnel.
This series is going to come down to Spurs offense vs Blazers defense. If Tony Parker is collapsing our defense and getting open looks for himself or teammates we are in trouble. If Batum can slow him down we'll be big favorites to win.
Lol are you his mother or something? Nothing about Tiago Splitter is "elite," and certainly nothing on the offensive end. Lmao.
Could be a turning of the guard kind of Series. Similar to the one in 99 When the Blazers defeated the Jazz.
Tim Duncan handing the keys over LA. Parker to Dame. Manu to Nico. Popps to Stotts
But I think they will have their work cut out for them.
lmao
Splitter didn't do a better defensive job. Nice try...
LA only shot 30% when Splitter was defending him, and all but 2 of his points in those situations came in garbage time.
No you clearly stated that splitter would do a better job with containing Aldridge than Howard and Asik. So far, you are wrong. If splitter can only do it for spurts, then it's meaningless.
LOL he did it the entire time the game was in any serious doubt. At one point he was 6/18 and when Splitter was on him it was much worse than that.
1-11? Lmao dude!
My post that you quoted had nothing to do with the Spurs. I was responding to the ridiculous assertion that Lillard struggled against Beverley and Lin. Thanks for thinking of me though.lmao

IIRC Lillard was having a horrendous 4th quarter in Game 6 while Lin was on him before McFail had a brain fart and put Parsons on him for that final shot.
Lillard only took two shots before "the shot" in the 4th.
And that was just one game. Derp. Why not talk about the rest of the series?
He had a few games where he struggled but overall he was solid. Over on ST we've discussed ad nauseum how Beverly is extremely overrated on defense and Lin is garbage all around for what Houston needs. The overall point was that he'll have issues with Green defending him, though he wasn't needed tonight with Tony playing like a top PG on both ends.
Really dude? Thanks, I don't think any of us have seen him play before.............He had a few games where he struggled but overall he was solid.

I'm glad this has become a "your teams players sucks" by spurs fans. Or at least, one spurs fan. Always fun when these type add insult to injury after the blowout.
That is some extreme confidence for a team that got taken to 7 games by the 8th seed. The Rockets thought they were going to sweep the Blazers. You see how that worked out for them. The Blazers are 13-3 in their last 16 games. Win or lose, you will begin to see that the Blazers came to play. They are extremely resilient. They are rarely out of the game.
lmao
no offense to you dude, but this never gets old tbhThat would be the biggest mistake in pops career
no offense to you dude, but this never gets old tbh

Series not over bro...
But I'm not the one saying "I knew oden was bust" but your entire forum was willing to trade Duncan and half your team for him! Lmao
lol can't read sarcasm
If we lose Tiago or Green we don't have a chance at the finals. They're elite defenders.Umm yeah, I stand by my quote, which was "Lol are you his mother or something? Nothing about Tiago Splitter is "elite," and certainly nothing on the offensive end. Lmao."
There are some elite players in this league. Tiago Splitter is not one of them. Nor is Danny Green. They're middling role players on a very, very good team. Actually when I was rooting for you guys in the finals last year, I noticed that they can both be huge liabilities at times.
You guys have a good team and I'm sure the role players are a part of that. But Tiago Splitter is NOT "elite." That's not an opinion, it's an objective fact.
