Naw, i've got Blazers Pepto. They ain't trading 7 for Grant. But some of Y'all get off on the idea of a Blazer fiasco.

Blazers fiasco...isn't that a redundancy?

Bledsoe + Little +7 (+ MIL ‘25) = Grant +5 (+ 46)
[If Keon or another low cost bench guy is added, okay.]

Unfortunately, no, but I wasn’t trying to rip off the Pistons, either. Just hoping for actual forwards on the Blazers.

That would actually be a decent trade for both, tbh.

It'd be shitty. We get grant.

Nas gonna be better than Grant watch.

I don't know what you guys have been watching the last few years but Jerami Grant is a helluva player. He's proven that he can't carry a terrible team but he proved before that, that he can be a third option on a Finals team. The guy plays great and versatile defense, he can score inside and out, he can put the ball on the floor and he isn't a big time ball hog. He isn't worth the 7th pick but he's definitely worth getting and I think he's worth just under what he's asking for and will likely take an extension that pays him an average of 25M which would be pretty solid because I think he's as good all around as CJ, a better fit with Dame and I think a player on their level is worth right around 25M.

We lose if we get grant.

We lose because we get grant.
Is this a "Both teams played hard." type of thing? Why do we lose if we get Grant? I think we lose if we get Grant and don't also add another good forward with him but you're acting like having Grant on your team is a net negative. Is that what you think?

Jerami Grant has never been on a Finals team. He’s also a terrible shooter. No better than Covington. Look, I’m not against him being on our team in some role. But not on a max contract.

No one said anything about a max contract. The $25m/year is an over pay, but still no where near a $35+m max contract

25M a season for Jerami Grant is 9M less than what his max is what he's publicly asked for and that was to stay in a situation like Detroit is 28M a season which is still 6M per season less than his max. He's not a worse shooter than RoCo either. The dude takes far different shots than RoCo ever has. He takes contested shots right now and he takes shots off the dribble. If he was on this team he would be getting the shots RoCo was getting and hitting them at an even higher clip plus if he were to be closed out on he can take the ball past his defender and score going to the hoop. He also makes the right pass. You've got to look at the numbers and their context.

All of that said, what does it matter we either will get him for a horrible overpay, we'll get him for a decent price or we won't get the guy and none of us has shit to do with it. I want him on this team for a reasonable price. As I've said I want to trade the 7 for Wood and 17, then trade 17 and Bledsoe for Grant and if needs be add in up to the Bucks 2025 first. I think Wood and Grant would be by far the best forward combination we've had since Nic and LaMarcus.

Oh and I forgot that the Nuggets team he was on only went to the conference finals and lost to the eventual champion Lakers but he did have some success during that playoff run.
