It’s that this is a side point and doesn’t really have a big consequence as to what I was saying.
I made one sarcastic argument about the medical staff, to poke fun at the idea that medical staffs can always be trusted. My argument didn’t rest on whether or not any of them are still around - the point is having blind trust in any medical staff given the incentives to rush players back is dumb. Ask Leonard.
This is where the discussion should have been all along. Putting injured players at risk is hardly unique to the Blazers, or the NBA. Whether it is the NBA, the NFL, or MLB it is legit to take the actions of team medical staffs with a dose of scepticism. Team staff are constantly being put in a position of weighing team interests against individual player interests. They are being asked to serve two masters who have different agendas. It is naive to assume that the interests of the player always win out.
Is this the case with CJ? I have no clue....but it is tough for me to condemn fans who are concerned. Obviously, I am giving the new(?) guy the benefit of the doubt here.
