CORVALLIS — What to know about Oregon State's key nonconference showdown against Boise State.

When: 12:30 p.m. Pacific time, Saturday, Sept. 24

Where: Reser Stadium, Corvallis (capacity: 43,305)

Latest line: Boise State by 13

Weather at kickoff: 63 degrees and sunny

On the air: TV on FS1 (Comcast 408/723, Dish on 150, DirecTV on 219); radio on KEX (1190) and KPOJ (620)

Live stream: FoxSportsGo

What's At Stake: Following a close season-opening loss at Minnesota and a comfortable-yet-underwhelming victory over Idaho State last week, OSU next gets a huge home opportunity against a name-brand program. Boise State received votes in both the Associated Press and Amway Coaches poll. Beavers starting safety Devin Chappell called it a "statement game."
Also: OSU will recognize the 60th anniversary of the 1957 Rose Bowl team during a timeout. Twelve members from that squad will also lead the team during the pregame "Beaver Walk" into the locker room.

Wow! 60 years now since the days of Coach Prothro!

We should punt on all 3rd downs!

But since you bring it up, Coach Prothro sometimes had faith that his defensive backs had a better chance of scoring when deep in the opponents territory than slugging it out mid field.
I only got a short time at Safety and the team, but I think I agreed with him, well most of the time.

I guess nobody's watching but this has become a very interesting game. Garretson got benched at halftime for a walk on freshman named Connor Blount. Came out and led the Beav to a touchdown, and then they converted perhaps the most perfectly executed onside kick I've ever seen, leading to a field goal. On the other side, Boise has been completely ineffectual on offense in the second half.

Watching it but at the game.

Wow!! What a catch by Collins!

Got burnt to a crisp at this game.

While thinking about that i realized, people of color do have at least one privilege. The privilege of not getting burnt in the sun

Sorry was out but watching the game drinking beers. BLOUNT? Walk on freshman, WTF LOL.

He looked SO more much mobile than Garretson.....yikes.

I'm just going to bump this thread instead of making a new one.

You know, I was looking for today's game thread, which must have got deleted, because I'm sure Sly would have made one.... :) I am seriously wondering- are their uniforms red, or is our tv just AFU'd???

Color check.... Class... Bueller... Bueller....
Aside from the fact we're not playing Boise state this week! It was a solid game aside from the defense that allowed those fucking a gap draw plays

Lol. NO, I am just wondering if their uniforms were red. Our tv isn't that old, but even the band uniforms looked redish. Red-ish? More red than orange....

I was at the game. They were orange. Tv showing must have been shit.

Thanks MUCH! Seriously, this tv is fairly new, but the shit was WAY too red. Now I have an excuse to screw with the adjustments.... (and after I really screw it up, an excuse to go get a new tv....)
