I saw black jerseys with black numbers outlined in red yesterday and Just Sports. I wonder if those are official?

Plus, having RipCity on the front of the jersey is lame.

Hell yeah. Why not? If Golden State can wear "The City" and the NBA trots out "Los Spurs" and "El Heat" then what's wrong with wearing "Rip City." That's part of our brand, and I'm proud of that fact.

Vertical, lowercase text --> sick as hell.

ripcity--> bleh. They look extremely gimmicky.

I like them. The red one obviously is the best with the throwback to the 70s look. LOVE IT, and would love to see one with just portland in lowercase.

The Rip City ones, they look a lot better in that first pic when it's laid out on the floor. I like the touch though with the small logo on the chest. I'll have to see it on an actual player in a game to judge, but having rip city on them doesn't bother me. It's a cool idea IMO.

Casey called the rip city jersey as an "alternate" on his twitter.

Makes me think we'll see it more than once this season. Maybe it's like the Lakers wearing white jerseys on all Sunday home games.
