The jersey has an unfinished look to it. I usually like minimal aesthetics but the two colors they chose don't really work. It needs some sort of accent on the outline stripes, the lettering and the number. It just looks like a mockup made in paint that they suddenly decided to make a reality.

That's a very apt description. To me, it looks like either someone who is color blind (and doesn't know what scarlet red looks like) or someone who tweaked the hues too much. It looks much more like it's Orange/Red instead.

There is no way you can ever convince me that is scarlet red. That's my biggest complaint, the color. I'll live with sash looking like someone ran them over. Most teams don't have anything on their uniforms other than the team name, so it's kind of unique that way. But the colors....fix the colors.

The side-by-side with last season's reds really puts things into perspective. Those tapered lines SUCKED! They sucked on the pinwheel and the sucked on the jersey.

Except for the details I've already discussed, these reds are pretty good. But I still can't believe that they can fuck up some pretty simple details so badly. With a few minor tweaks these could be really good.

It needs some white.

Ours really isn't bad. Black on red has a mean look to it. It may be too plain for some, but at least it isn't god awful. Clippers is so dogshit, plain ass block letters lazily sandwiched atop their shitty logo. I like Utah's. GSW's is nice if you like the word 'TOWN', since that's all you can make out from more than 3 feet away.

That was exactly the same for me. I thought the video game link had to have been fake because they looked like a joke. But that jersey in actual good lighting, on Moe, looked pretty badass.

Portland Trail Blazers: It’s pretty hard to find a way to mess up a red and black jersey, but the Blazers did it this year. It’s a double whammy given that Portland took the best alternate jersey in the league from last season and turned it into the worst. This uniform literally has tire tracks on the side of it. Hard pass.

Mmmmm, kinda. The only ones that are "patently dope" are the Sixers and Nuggets. Bulls and Celtics are boring as fuck. Bucks and Rockets are trash. Hornets are pretty good.

Warriors isn't just boring, it's bad. Really bad.

Jazz somehow succeed where Spurs fail.

But the biggest takeaway is that they're almost all boring (at best). At least we tried to do something interesting.

Ours are still some of the best ones in the league - but the details were all screwed up. Biggest fuck up is the lack of proportions with the 5 stripes, resulting in the "tire track". Easy fix - make it two stripes like the early 80s (you can even do black on grey). Might work, might not - keep the proportions of the pinwheel lines intact. Stick the upper point of the pinwheel in the armpit so that the top edge of the pinwheel runs down the vertical seam and the 5 pinwheel arms cut diagonally across so that when tucked in there isn't a sash effect, but rather the entire lower half is diagonal pinwheel stripes that retain their proportions. Personally I'd go with two black on grey stripes. Fix a few other minor details (banding around the arms) and they could be great.

#3: Trail Blazers:
Too bad the Blazers weren't among the teams that stuck with their existing alternates. The new version eliminates all the white and silver trim, causing major legibility issues. A rare misstep for a franchise that usually gets these things right.
