i dont believe neil olshey will give up on him

hell try to resign him for a reasonable price all things considered, after all, blazers cant afford to lose players for nothing, especially considering we dont have cap space and cant attract good free agents

We can afford to lose a guy who would only take up a roster spot and never be healthy enough to play for nothing... we can afford to let Melo and Kanter go without anything in return. Yeah, you can let guys who don't have value to the club walk.

Edit: Wait a minute Zach can't walk.

collins has value, hes either starter or a backup, injuries are whole other thing

carmelo and kanter have no value

collins will easily find a new team, teams are not stupid

God damn thats a savage edit bro. Lmao.

His injury must be worse than being reported.

Being that we’re in a market that has a tough time landing FA you gotta build through the draft and develop talent - something Neil Purgatory harps on.

If he had a real chance of being the same I don’t think we’d let him walk this easily.

This doesn't mean olshey can't resign him. Zach this surgery was better then the first two. He has more movement in ankle then before. I don't know olshey will sign but he needs to consider it but depends on the doctor time line when he might be ready to play.

Collins has possible value. Other teams may take the risk. The Blazers may try and resign him for the min.

Melo has a very low value. He should probably retire, but will likely sign with LA

Kanter has value. He is a rebounding machine and can also put up points. He is a good backup center and teams will look to sign him.

kanter has value in regular season

fans can think collins wont stay healthy going forward, but lets not act like he wouldnt be second or third best defender on this team and he vas definitely projected as long term starting power forward

personally, i wouldnt give up on him, id roll the dice and see what the future holds

Quick was about a week ahead of Woj breaking this story....my guess is Neil wanted Woj to wait to break it and Quick didn't give a fuck what Neil wanted

Once Zach became ufa, Portland can only sign him to the vet min without eating portion of an exemption

Hate to say it but Zach needs to come back through the G league and show he can stay on a basketball court without injuries or go play for a Euro team

You're going to be very surprised by how keen NBA teams are about giving him a shot...
I seriously don't think so...he's broken the same bone 3 times in a row....same injury that ended his dad's career....if somebody does...he's damned lucky in my view

Oh lordy...how many times did people tell me the same thing about Oden!
