BREAKING NEWS:
MARC IOVARONI TO BE NAMED BLAZERS HEAD COACH!!!!

HAHA Quick

Quick jumping in late to try to add something to it... I'd laugh if the deal doesn't happen.

Who are the Nuggets really going to give up? The Balkman package they were offering earlier is really not all that appealing.

These guys are at our hotels at like 2:30AM with their kids!!! Waiting in the cold just to get something signed. That's crazy to me.

And the kids are just there as bait... like renting a puppy to score a chick's attention. :sigh:

Quick story update

"He said it is still being finished, but that it should go through,'' Outlaw said

Oh well.. the guy will get around to the fact that he's playing for a playoff contender in front a full house at the RG for the next few months.

Absolutely!

And, if we end up getting Denver in any Round, he'll be so frickin' motivated to do damage on them.

Usually ya! They have the kids ask. It's sad. The guys are pretty good about signin stuff. I remember 1 time Channing saying no way once..... cause this guy kept calling him LaMarcus! It was classic! I signed something for Blake once!

Outlaw late Monday night said his agent, Bill Duffy, informed him that the deal should be finished on Tuesday.

"He said it is still being finished, but that it should go through,'' Outlaw said.

The deal, which will also include the Blazers giving cash to Los Angeles, is expected to be finalized on Tuesday, well before the noon Thursday trading deadline, and on the same day the Clippers are in Portland to play the Blazers in the Rose Garden.

Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard said the deal is "not done."

Yahoo! Sports and ESPN.com first reported the trade. Yahoo! was the first to report the deal also involves the Blazers paying the Clippers cash.

All three players have expiring contracts.

"I'm cool with it,'' Outlaw said of the trade. "It doesn't bother me. This is a business. I'll just go somewhere else and play. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the opportunity Portland gave me, but I also know it's a business.''

GL, Trav.

totally a "wink wink deal" (credit to Mediocre Man) Travis will be back next year.

Worst part about this deal is that it's each of my kid's favorite players...

daughters name is Blake so she loves Steve Blake...

Son got to meet Travis last year and shake his hand so that's his favorite player...

Man, that bites for you, Blazer_hippie... if I was a kid and that happened to me (my fav player being traded) I'd be bawling.
