Seems like Portland could use both TT and Camby, but Camby fills the immediate need and can be discarded when Oden and Joel are back next season. Or he could be resigned as a quality vet backup. I see the Camby thing as a can't lose proposition.

The thing about Thomas is that he's going to want at least $6M next season, if not more. Someone will probably pay it but they're going to be sorry.
 
Guys, we'd be getting rid of Blake. I don't see how this is a bad thing. ;)

Plus, Camby is averaging 7-12 and 2 blocks and 3 assists.

I'd rather have him (and I don't like Camby) than Tyrus. Tryus. Whatever.
 
camby has really bad man defense, but his help defense is nice, maybe stick lma on the post guy? either way its an upgrade for the rest of the year.

Blake and Marty and you got a deal! Too bad that Outlaw and Blake are the ones expiring.

You can when that DPOY is a head case, too. There's a reason Denver shipped him out for a 2nd round pick and won more games. Addition by subtraction.
 
Solid deal. No Bassy, but I'd take Thorton back if they are looking to shed salary.
 
The Clippers gets some money on a team that is not going to make the playoffs.

The Blazers move a couple of expiring contracts for a quick fix on a position that they REALLY could use some help.

This seems like a good (if not monumental) deal for both sides.

If we made this deal, we could likely use our MLE on Outlaw and the BAE on Blake.
 
From what others are stating, I would agree that the Blazers would also have to take on either Telfair or Thornton - preferably the later - for this deal to happen. The Clips probably want more than just expirings for expirings.
 
FWIW, Thomas is expiring, too.

They can just let Camby walk at the end of the season when Oden and Przybilla is ready to come back for training camp. I like this trade.
 
Clippers fans seem to think that Camby and Telfair and/or Thornton are gone this week, so maybe this could happen. One of them says they might be getting a guard and a SF in return, but that they don't know from where. Interesting...
 
Camby is rebounding like a madman this season. He's #2 in the NBA at 12.1. If KP can pull this off, it would be huge.

I hope we aren't giving up Juwan Howard -- I think he does more for us this year than Tyrus Thomas. We would be even thinner in the front court than we are now.
