I couldn't see any trade here worth making so far..

Aldridge and Freeland for Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, and Eric Bledsoe. Bringing a 3rd team into the deal and flipping Bledsoe for a SG.

Sounds reasonable. ;)

I agree. LaMarcus was a viable 2nd/3rd Option on a good team, a 1st/2nd option on a bad team. He is not a leader. His trade value is at its peak right now and his contract is perfectly aligned to assure teams he'll stick around.

The future of the Blazers is Lillard, Leonard, and Batum. Aldridge was perfect for the Roy/Oden era but on this team he's a square peg in a round-hole roster. Get top dollar for him from a Texas team. Get an upper-tier shooting guard and upgrade the bench.

I don't get this.

You say that Lillard is going to be the leader and #1. You also say that LaMarcus is a perfect fit for a #2/#3. So if we have a leader / #1 in Lillard, why can't LMA be the #2 which you already say he's a good fit for?

should strike while the iron is hot.

Eric Bledsoe + Imaginary Cap Space for Lillard!

I don't think Lillard is good enough to win Sophomore of the Year so yes, trade him before his value plunges.

Right?!?!?! I am flabbergasted on how eager fans are to trade Aldridge. If Lillard will truly be a #1 option, then Aldridge is a perfect fit.

I agree with Canzano on this. The Blazers shouldn't wait meaning the Blazers shouldn't treat the next few years like a rebuilding process. Aldridge is going to pack his bags for Dallas and probably the fate of Neil Olshey being with the Blazers is riding on this move as well.

Canucks, lol.

I am absolutely against trading Aldridge.

With that said, If Olshey could pull off trading him for Hibbert or Noah, how would you feel about that knowing a guy like Paul Millsap is out there for us to sign to be our starting pf? I know signing a guy like Millsap isn't a sure thing, but if he were to pull it off, I think I'd be OK with that.

Dream scenario.
Also, Millsap signed with us once - so there's that.
Also, Wes and Millsap have played together - Wes might be able to sell him on the idea.

Does everyone remember how bad we looked without him on the floor? Has everyone forgotten that a HUGE factor in Dame's great rookie play is that he got to play alongside an All-Star PF?

This makes a lot of sense. I think the pro-trade people think we won't be good enough to keep LMA. I say ride it out, and trade him later if he demands a trade or if it becomes clear he is going to leave. If he still wants to be a Blazer (now), keep him.

I can't wait for Aldridge to come out next season. I suspect he will work inside and dominate with an entire summer to work on bulk and polishing his moves off the block. There will be a ton of bumps!

I'd like him to work on rolling in the PnR more. To often its a PnP because he is open.

Canzano is bored. Nothing really to write about this time of year.

He blew out his knee again and is home in bed all week recovering. That is no joke, it really did happen. He's basically a troll who gets paid to troll, and he has the next 5 days to troll Duck and Blazer fans.

I think they are going to use that for the center we pick up. Aldridge's "block" game is almost unstoppable now. With more work, he will be the strong-side scorer. That's going to help Lillard since he loves driving to the weak-side.

Love to see LA in the post more but I think he is always going to take about 40% of his shots at that 18f spot. He gets tired of banging and shoots that shot a little to often and teams will give it to him all day long.

Unless you're Shaq, nobody has the body to play 38 mpg and bang in the post as a primary scoring option. Not even Dwight Howard, who is seeing his body break down already.

I've never been against trading Aldridge, but it has to be a trade that makes sense. If he can play like he did at the end of this season, I don't think there's a trade that would make sense.

LMA package for Monroe and their pick

Package both top 10 picks for DMC

Lillard/Batum/Monroe/DMC -- this core is n'awesome.

so LMA and 10 for Cousins? no thanks. that's terrible

He's in love with Cousins. If Fez could have had his way, we'd have a lineup with Nolan Smith, Waiters, Batum, Hickson, and Cousins. Sounds like a winner to me.

So Sac would take our pick and #7 for DMC.......Hmm right now that is projected to be Zeller in a few mock drafts. Seems like they would then take #10 and Leonard as well. I wouldn't mind DMC if we kept LMA. The more Vets around him the better IMO.
