There’s a reason he had a pretty extensive paid security detail everywhere he went. Which isn’t normal for podcaster/whatever he was.

It was because he was a harbinger of hate speech.

Not at all. I don't care about Jimmy Kimmel's job (aside from the fact that he's good at it). I care that the government is trying to control people's speech and deplatform desenting voices.

Any government official who applied any pressure or made any threatening comment to any company in a similar situation in which a person's platform is removed should be removed from office and prohibited from ever holding public office again.

The President (or any government official) should not be free to request or demand any private company take any action against anyody.

If you disagree then you don't support the first amendment. Simple as that.

One thing I've been thinking about the last day, why aren't they questioning South Park yet? They have done way more specific things than anyone else.

They will, the difference is, South Park is a massive money maker. They are a HUGE product, and there are dozens of other channels (etc) that would jump at the chance of having them on their stations.

There's only so many spots for night time shows. TBS tried it for a while, and since Conan left, you've noticed they didn't go back.

South Park is a license to print money.

I don't think the guys who did South Park would've signed a contract that didn't grossly benefit them. They had almost all of, if not all of, the leverage.

don’t quote me but I read paramount was trying to merge with another company and the FTC could try and pressure them to do something about south park if they want the merger to go through
