The amount of stuff people in their 20's have no idea about boggles my mind. Basically ask most of them anything from the 80s, 90s or 2000s and they have no idea what you are talking about. Makes you feel like an old fart.

Ive noticed that too. But what's weird is, I know for a fact people my age (I'm in my late 40's/early 50's...god damn Im old) knew shit from 40 years prior when we were in our 20's (so late 90's/early 2000's).

To me, it comes off like the MAGA/GOP doesn't have the brain power to realize that bullshit isn't believable. Kinda like when you are around kids who think their fake ID is believable. Just because they're easily duped, doesn't mean the rest of us are.

Just don't post a picture of yourself saying hello to me and we're good.

I know very little about pop culture from 1947, 1957, or 1967… maybe a couple of bits of trivia but come on that’s all from way before I was born.

I don't know.... watch it and let me know what you think.

I refuse to watch videos from grifters, or grifter adjacent.

(I must use punctuation correctly, I hear that's bad)

I was an old soul. I loved 80s culture growing up, and watched MTV in the 90s when my cousins babysat me. My parents also showed me stuff they enjoyed as kids. My dad had us listen to Doo Wop music a bunch.

Kids nowadays have things like Wikipedia too. That side is always a crazy rabbit hole for me to go down learning about different things.

I am unfamiliar with how 22 year olds text. But if someone I knew told me they committed a murder, my first reaction would be for real or are you bs'ing me.
I noticed not a word of profanity.
Yeah, just committed murder but I will get in trouble if I don't return Daddy's rifle.

"How long have you been planning this?"

"A bit over a week, I think"

"some hatred can't be negotiated out"

"If I see 'notices bulge uwu' on Fox news I might have a stroke"
"alright im gonna have to leave it, that really fucking sucks"

Who in the fuck talks like that!?

And on top of that, why would he type it as "u w u" when everywhere else it's owo?

When your only argument is "well they celebrated Kirk dying with George Floyd dying" you lose.

George Floyds criminal history:

Floyd was a person living life, and he wasn't overall a bad person, who got killed by a cop.

Kirk was a racist bigot, misogynistic asshole. It sucks he died, but he put himself in harms way for it with his hateful rhetoric.

One was a person just living in Minnesota.

The other was a racist piece of shit. A bigoted piece of shit. A misogynistic piece of shit.

You dont get to tell people not to celebrate someone dying for spewing hateful rhetoric when that same person didnt give a shit and celebrated George Floyd dying.

You dont get to feign sympathy for a piece of shit and try to talk down to others when people made fun of and celebrated multiple deaths because of the color of their skin.

Get the fuck out with that fake shit.

ill just put this right here… cause you know…. Facts.

George Floyd had a criminal history that included multiple arrests and jail terms between 1997 and 2005, with convictions for offenses such as drug possession, theft, and home invasion. One such conviction, for drug possession in 2004, was the subject of a posthumous pardon effort due to questions about the credibility of the arresting police officer. In 2007, he also faced charges for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, involving an incident where he and others entered an apartment to steal items.
Key details of Floyd's criminal history:
  • Multiple arrests and jail terms: From 1997 to 2005, Floyd served eight jail terms for various offenses.
  • Drug possession: One of these convictions was for possessing crack cocaine in 2004.
  • Theft and home invasion: Other offenses included theft and home invasion.
  • Aggravated robbery charge: In 2007, Floyd was charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

Agree! I only recently came to read the last few pages of this thread but seeing the responses of some people here, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if some posters were doing the same thing earlier in the threads

Its absolutely crazy.
I have directly seen quotes in here, severely truncated, changing the meaning, taking it out of context and then saying a bunch of hateful names online about him.
Ive checked into the quotes. Its extremely dangerous, the rhetoric some are spreading without doing complete research to see the full statement made and the context in which it was made.
I can make this statement:

“I think mothers should stay at home instead of going to work and having strangers raise our kids. Its not good for the parent and child relationship and not good for society.”

But if you take the first line,
“I think women should stay at home….”

sounds totally sexist. But the full statement was not. It was about how we should raise our children.

Sooo many smart people in this forum being completely duped by the media and people with agendas….

I am not duped. I know a racist misogynist homophobic anti-semite when I hear one.

This might be paywall
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/15/us/politics/charlie-kirk-rnc-antisemitism.html

Texas Roadhouse fired local manager because his wife called Kirk a Nazi, adding God rest his soul. The grossly misnamed Moms for Liberty is scouring Internet for people saying mean things. They claim with no evidence servers at Texas Roadhouse were intimidated by what manager's wife said on social media, which sure sounds like a stretch.

First, he paid his debt to society for those alleged crimes. Second, black men are often targeted by police and often have criminal records when a white man would have none.

Look at the day he was murdered. Completely innocent. Tortured to death on camera. For Kirk to call him a scumbag.

Was Kirk targeted by the government? Doesn't appear to have been. Was he tortured? Nope.

Was George Floyd destroying our country for profit? No.

Kirk was a fucking low life scumbag. He didn't deserve to die for it. But he was absolutely a traitor. Far more harmful to our society than anything George Floyd did. And we have video evidence of Kirk doing it.

I promise you, 95% of these people hating on Kirk have never sat down and watching his full videos. Many claim they havent or dont either. Many things taken out of context. Or showing half a quote to fit their agenda imo.

Like this quote:

if you goning to use the quote, at least use the whole thing.

his quote, use all of it "I can't stand the word empathy, I think empathy is a made up new age term
and it does a lot of damage. Sympathy is a better word, because empathy means you are actually feeling what another person felt, and no one can feel
what another person feels."

Funny enough, they will also push back on anything that doesn't fit their views. the FBI is lying, it's a set up, the text messages aren't real, he isn't on the left, etc. Also while some say, Floyd wasn't a bad person. but Kirk is this and that, a bunch of hot garbage imo.

We can ignore the fact that he wore make up and wigs before, had a bf as well that was transitioning to a women, was in discord chats. But let’s push back against that because it doesn’t fit my narrative and I hate the right lol.

LMAO, where do you get your information from? Fake account, and the 2 that liked that post are eating it up hahaha. You guys are hilarious man, just reading what you see online before doing any background check to see if its legit.

He paid debt after stealing and robbing multiple times? LOL you can spin it anyway you want, but its cringe to hear you defend Floyd. Once again he didn't deserve to die regardless just like Kirk didn't, and it was messed up what happened to both of them at the end of the day

He called him a scam bag because of his crimal background. Floyd wasn't a saint. If you want to say Kirk was a fucking low life scumbag, well then say the same about Floyd. You just seem so wrapped up in the whole right/left thing you can't even think logically.

I already described my position on both. I don't know for sure that Floyd did any of that. I simply don't know. Black men are targeted far too often for me to have any confidence. And the proof is that he was tortured and killed on camera in public for no reason.

I have proof that Kirk did the things that I've said. I have seen the video evidence. I have watched his podcast. I have watched his debates. I have seen his dishonest tactics and his cruel and bigoted perspective.

I know 100% that Kirk had no empathy for minorities who are tortured and murdered. Therefore, I have no empathy for Kirk, who has been much more harmful to our society than any minority living in America that I can think of.

You have no proof Floyd did those things? LMAO ok man. You will just spin anything that doesn't fit your narrative and push back on anything.
