I have no problem with people who say in the past 20 some years Billups has had no further issues. I have no problem with second chance. That as the father of daughters his mindset has changed.
And I think he'll be a good coach.
What is absolutely nauseating is a parade of men calling rape a mistake. Like putting stockings in the washing machine or adding too much salt to the soup. Or saying just get over it. Ask any woman who has been sexually assaulted if she is over it. Ever. Or saying what a terrible SJW cancel culture blah blah that anyone would mention it. Or that it didn't happen. Was her fault. Etc etc etc.
I am aware of Scottsboro, Emmitt Till et al and I know false rape charges have sickeningly been used to frame Black men. I also know rape is still the only crime where the victim has to prove she didn't want it to happen. Anyone ever hear of someone being carjacked and asked are you sure you didn't want him to have your car? Every woman and I suppose man who reports sexual assault will hear she is making it up, it's her fault and she must have wanted it, in fact all the above.
So if you think he is the best person for the job, fine. But know the conversation is going to happen. And frankly most of you are making it worse.
If he is hired, when he gets asked he cannot victim blame, self justify, or attack questioner.
