The community at large is much more focused on surviving the apocalyptic heat wave. I imagine most are unaware of any controversy or have given it little thought.

All indicators is that Dame hand a hand in choosing Billups over the other candidates that were brought to him. But that doesn’t mean he can’t get pissed at the fans attacking him for being a part of that decision.

I honestly think Dame didn't want to be coached by Hammond because she's a woman. Maybe I'm off base, but just a hunch.

Billups and Kidd were PGs he looked up to and he feels he can thrive under either of them.

Actually, I went out of my way not to mock her. I respect her cause and her constant fight. I honestly think Canzano inserted her quote for his own purpose. Either way, if you want to help the cause (or any cause) you don't crucify someone in the media without knowing all the facts. I am sure his daughters are going to love going to school in Portland where he has already been labeled as a rapist.

Hell no. Blazer fans need something to bitch about. Once Stotts was gone it created a void. Billups hopefully will be accepted by the city. Olshey is a constant but they’ll need at least one other thing. Without draft picks it’s gonna be slim pickings.

Fuck every single one of these stupid ass motherfuckers. The man was never charged and settled in CIVIL court, not criminal court, probably in an effort to make the shitshow disappear.

If the shoe were on the other foot and this was a white coach with the same allegations against him, would there be the same outrage? Or would these same fans be praying for him? Honest question.

These same people expressing outrage at the Billups hire are mum on the whole sexual harassment case surrounding Jody Allen. Where’s the outrage? Where’s the “I’m not gonna be fan anymore until she sells the team?” The outrage is because Billups is black and this city is showing its true colours.

Having concern over the character of someone as important as the head coach doesn't mean they're hypocrites or lunatics.

Everyone really needs to take a deep breath and relax a little.
