I argued with a woman who was claiming covid-19 was less deadly than the flu. Only to find out later that her father died of covid-19 a couple weeks prior. But she was adamant. This debate reminds me a lot of the COVID situation. It seems like everything else, peoples opinions are based on their life experiences. I feel a certain way about COVID because I lost 4 friends/family members within 10 days back in January. Reading some posts on here, there is no way people have ever lost anybody from it. No way! They wouldn't fee that way if they have.
With this topic, thinking maybe the same rings true. I have opinions about rape because I have 2 people VERY close to me in my life who have been raped. It is TOUGH! I have very strong opinions about the topic based on these experiences. Curious who here has dealt with this situation and who hasn't.
I don't know how to deal with that... I just felt bad for arguing with her.
