There's still no evidence made public that the Russians were the hackers or that they provided the emails to WikiLeaks.

Trump has said maybe it's Russia, but we're under cyber attack from all sorts of people/places. He's right on that.

Note: I've said it could be Russia all along, just that the government is making accusations and not providing convincing proof.

What if they have the proof but it's classified? Many in the know seem to be certain that it is Russia. And Trump's admission that it could be Russia is about as much of a walk back that you should expect from someone that loves to double down.

They've never been our friends in my life time and absolutely nothing I've seen yet indicates they're going to be our friends in the foreseeable future. But if you want to play the Pollyanna role, have at it. I'd actually prefer your hugs and kisses scenario than my arms length scenario (which, BTW is light years from advocating for nuclear war). But keep on putting words in the mouths of others......

I guess we need another whistle blower to release this proof. There is no reason to classify ALL the proof. Any one bit of technical proof would do.

The report they made public is something of a joke. They accused the Russians of influencing the election by having RT (their newspaper) publish a story about Occupy Wall Street being about unhappy common people. Oh my! Seems to me they were just telling the truth.

And compared to the withering shitstorm unleashed by our press against Trump, RT was in the noise.
 
Look, this is stupid. Let's say you have fought with a neighbor and hate him. Then he sees you cheating on your wife and tells her. Is the fact that you hate him supposed to be an excuse?

An excuse for what? Hugging him? I'd probably try to cheat with his wife. It's the American way....but I certainly wouldn't pull the trigger on him....or thank him.

Gates isn't the exception to any rule, though. When he was in charge of Micro$oft, he was all about making more and more money. The company was sued by the US government for practices that helped make him richer.

At some point, he had enough money and wanted to do something else with his life. This is true for plenty of other $billionaires. Bloomberg wanted to serve his city. John Kerry's wife is a $billionaire.

If Trump wants to make more money, he'd not want to be president to do so. He'd just take that $2B deal with Dubai. If anything, the presidency is obviously going to get in the way of his making as much money as possible. By definition: $400K salary and all his time spent vs. what he'd make running his business.
