Yawn. Now your schtick is getting old.

I interact with you for as long as it entertains me, tbh. Your interest isn't really relevant to me.

Sadly, this time around, you didn't spout as much ridiculousness (like that the Supreme Court doesn't rule on the Constitutionality of laws), just straight propaganda. But your unconscious imitation of Trump was still pretty amusing.

Stock Market up

Yay Trump!

Wait.... what year did he take over?

Jobs are up too. Must be nice for Trump to inherit the booming Obama economy.

Thanks, Obama!

Those were fake stats when Obama was President, but now they are real. Because they are good. When they are bad, they are fake. When they are good, they are completely accurate.

Why won't you bend the knee?

I think, if you go back and look, it was Trumps tweets from 2010 that turned around the stock market and the economy.

Thanks, Trump!

Yeah, it was probably pretty motivating when Trump tweeted his contempt for Presidential vacations.

For fishing, heh.

Grand juries don’t investigate hoaxes, and there are rules against using them for anything resembling a political witch hunt. As several former federal prosecutors told me, the grand jury is significant because it means that Mueller is in the midst of a “predicated” criminal investigation. That is, he has reached the point where he has evidence of criminal conduct. “It can’t be used for a fishing expedition,” Matt Olsen, a former federal prosecutor, said. “He’s got a very powerful tool to pursue specific federal crimes.”

What the Trump-Russia Grand Jury Means

The article also notes that a grand jury was impaneled for the Clinton e-mail case, so indictments are no certainty.

Why is there no one here, being investigated for murder? Or treason?

They're not vacations! Trump does some of his best work on the back nine!
As much as it brings me joy to make fun of Trump's multitudinous vacations, especially given their hypocritical nature, vacationing is probably the best thing he can do for this country. It keeps him from doing anything dangerous, damaging, or disgusting (I hope Wheels never has to use that alliteration).

None of us have all the facts. So... how do you know there was no crime?

Even so, it was the right answer. No crime, no investigation. It is absolutely mismanagement to investigate searching for a crime.
My take is that a crime has already been discovered in Trump's inner circle in Flynn. Now, I don't believe in "guilty by association", however where there is smoke, there is often fire. There have been some things that don't add up, maybe not from Trump himself, but from people around him, including family members and cabinet. Flynn has already proven that there is indeed a fire behind that smoke. It is up to Mueller and his investigation to find out how big that fire is and how far it has spread. It may reveal nothing else. I am ok with that.

This is apparently where we disagree. I'm ok with that as well and don't plan on having a lengthy argument over semantics with you. You don't feel the investigation has any merit and is a witch hunt (just paraphrasing and not trying to put words in your mouth), and I feel it is necessary to find out just how large or small that fire is.

Where I may differ with some of my fellow liberals though, is that I hope it was a small fire (just a tiny flame on Flynn's trousers), and doesn't reach anyone else. As much as I don't really like Trump as a person and politician, I hope the president of the United States committed no crimes. And hopefully the investigation will show that. But, let's find out the size of the fire that created the very visible smoke. And no, this smoke didn't blow in from wildfires in Canada...... this time.

Cheers.

Outstanding! That over rides any dislike. We normally rely on the election process to vet the President. Not endless post election investigation. I don't even know if I like him, he was just the best we had in the game from which to choose.

There is good reason why we do not put the President on trial. It is because there is much hate in politics. It is not a fair sport, not a rational sport. It isn't even judged by judges using a common scale. So just as we do not want the winner enforcing sedition laws, purging the nation of the looser opposition, we also do not want the loosers undermining the winner with sedition, superfluous charges, and frivolous harassment. It appears, we are losing control over this process now, loosing sight of the reasons why we do not do what being done. I think it happened with Bill Clinton and perhaps today is tit for tat. But I fear it is the establishment rebelling against the interloper. Nothing to do with the usual politics. After all, we do need a leader to fill the necessary function of Chief Executive. If we find a way to make him/her ineffectual, we are all screwed.
