Would it be better to just sit the year out, make sure the foot is healed, and do the rookie season next year?

Mike Rice @mikerice6 Really sorry the injury to c.j.McCollum. he was my big surprise of pre camp. He was really opening eyes. I thought he was special

With the depth at that position there is absolutely no reason to rush him back at all
He's not dead...
That never worked for the last injury prone lottery pick.
Casey Holdahl @CHold McCollum broke his left fifth metatarsal the first time on Jan. 5, 2013 in a game against VCU.
Wow we were talking about having too much talent at guard. Glad olshey loaded it up.
Well as much as I hate to say it, we ARE the Blazers.
Wtf?! He's broken the same part of his foot?
Where have you been? This has only been mentioned three or four times in this thread.

Too busy telling people how idiotic their posts are!![]()

Hey sly.... Was I overreacting?
Throwing stones from your glass house?![]()
Seems every year I find myself wondering if we can finally catch a break (no pun intended) and then I wonder if we used up all of or most of our luck on LillardFuck me! I sure hope this season isn't riddled with injuries again. I don't know if I can take it anymore

We've had this kinda fun since the 2007 season.
Dwight Jaynes @dwightjaynes I am told that in fifth metatarsal fractures, screws are often used to hold the bones, which would mean 7-12 weeks of recovery time
Here's a thought - just a thought. Maybe we shouldn't keep drafting players who've had their college careers seriously impacted with injury?
The good news is we have the depth to deal with this. Barton and Crabbe are not needed. Lillard/Matthews/Williams is a fine rotation. I'm not worried about the team. I feel bad for CJ.
