Sent from my baller ass iPhone 5 FAMS!

Someone get this message to him.

CJ, a warning. As they wheel you in, when you're woozy, this same crazy Blazer doctor always pulls out a paper and gets you to sign authorization for microfracture surgery. WATCH OUT. He pulled this same microfracture surprise everytime with Oden, and later each time we were told Oden had signed his life away.

Meanwhile
Good news! After we cut McCollum like we did Pendergraph, this opens our 15th spot for Elliot Williams.

The trainer's gone, but that secret anonymous Nazi doctor with the glowing eyes still prances the practice facility at night.

Let's wait on cutting McCollum for a midseason pickup, when Oden will get booted out of Florida.

This bench seat is reserved for our exalted "injured roster spot," like the "Jewish seat" on the Supreme Court. This revenue generator begets half of all Blazer articles for the media.

Did the news just get down South?

Things move real slow in your neck of the woods.

Would it be better to just sit the year out, make sure the foot is healed, and do the rookie season next year?

No way. Take all precautions when bringing him back, but even a partial rookie season should progress his development for next season. He'll know what to expect as far as NBA life and know exactly what he needs to improve on. If you make next season his rookie season, then he'll just be a rookie, which isn't what you want if you think you'll be a playoff team. Hes old for a rookie too, I say get his development going ASAP.

TUALATIN – The Portland Trail Blazers announced that rookie guard CJ McCollum will require surgery after fracturing the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot.
The injury occurred during Saturday's practice when McCollum was attempting to set a screen at the practice facility. A prognosis for his return will be made after surgery.
This is the same left foot that McCollum broke during his senior season at Lehigh University that caused him to miss the rest of that year.
McCollum, 22, was taken No. 10 in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Trail Blazers. From all accounts, he was having a sensational training camp after strong showings in involuntary workouts.
He was expected to compete with Wesley Matthews for two-guard minutes. This definitely comes as a huge blow for the Trail Blazers.

Shit, I was really hoping it was the other left foot this time.

They may have fired Jay Jensen, but they forgot to smudge everything with sage.....

Foot is a little different from knee, don't you think?

Yes it's much different. Although it is still a concern. The foot gives you the ability to control your drives. An ailing foot can make players much slower; IMO.

But if I was to have a choice; I would rather the foot be injured than the knee.
