I find it hilarious...awesome...fitting...satisfying that anyone who is a trump follower would be upset with people who laugh at the misfortune of others. Oh? Now you need empathy? You realize how critical healthcare is? What’s that? The lies told by your leaders (plural) have been exposed and have done even more damage than the virus already provides by telling people it’s not a big deal, go to work...and now your quarantining yourselves? As of now, the outbreak in the US isn't that serious compared to other parts of the world. Hopefully it can get contained.

I'm sure you would wish otherwise, to spite Trump and his base, though. You seem to take perverse satisfaction from this.

Its poor form for Trump to tell people to continue going to work if they are sick. If he did say that. I haven't followed this that closely.

it’s not serious? There are more and more people getting sick every day (trump said we would be down to 0 soon). People are staying home from work, kids from school. The economy is getting killed. It was serious on DAY ONE but the twat in office didn’t think so. He even said doctors were so impressed by how much he knew. Although he didn’t know people died from flu. Funny.

I agree more should be done. You wouldn't like how I would have handled it though. It would be pretty draconian.

We should have closed flights from several countries.

More things need to be cancelled. There was a marathon in LA yesterday. They should have cancelled that. There should be no self-quarantine. They should be put in facilities for forced quarantine.

I'd put daytime/nighttime curfews in areas hardest hit. Random temperature/health checks. Restrict movement and gatherings.

Unfortunately, the US doesn't have the infrastructure nor the willingness to do what's necessary.
 
We also need to bypass HIPAA and publicly name those who are infected. Its a matter of public health and safety.

Oh come on, you would have loved it if Osama bin Laden had this disease. What about Hitler or Stalin? How about Tojo or Kim Jong Un? Think about Gaddafi or Venezuela's Maduro. Could you fit in Fidel Castro?

I dont want anyone to suffer. Yes there are people out there I think are morally repulsive but I see myself as no better than any of them. So I cant speak for MM or anyone else, but Im a terrible person and its just against my world view to see myself as deserving better than any one else. So while I understand the sentiment, I understand where TFP and CN are coming from its just not in me to want the demise of others. I respect their opinions, and their right to those opinions, and Im not any better, were just different.

Not just that, its a pandemic. You can't just "target" certain people you disagree with politically. This affects everyone.
