Then why are teachers already getting the vaccine?

I have heard we are going back in April. Hybrid. Gotta have the vaccines so that can be safely done. I think all seniors and those that need it should have got it 1st and the teachers should have got in the summer for a return next school year. Finish the last few months of this school year with distance learning.

Sorry you’re feeling like crap, Chris. Everything I’ve read says the symptoms clear up within about 48 hours from the time you got the second injection. You get the full crapalalooza because you’re still a young buck. Us geezers don’t tend to get much of a reaction to the second dose. Your immune system sees the vaccine for the second time and issues a 911 call that makes you feel like shit. Our older immune systems are like, “Hmm, I think I saw this stuff before, but I really don’t remember that well. Oh well, the geezer is gonna die from something pretty soon anyway. No point in getting all worked up over it. Zzzz.”

Im was all for getting the teachers vaccinated first as long as they agree to go back work. My wife is a retired teacher and she feels the same way. We need the little nuggets back in school.
Several of my grandkids are struggling because they need the interaction and learning environment. I had one senior miss his a months of HS and graduation last year and have two this year that are not optimistic about their schools opening up. Not a great way to end your HS days.

Oregon Ranks thirds worse in vaccinating seniors or 60. And some of them are teachers .

I don’t think (since she finished out Kitzhaber’s term) that she can run again. At least that is my understanding though I could be wrong.....

I know young guys that qualified for their shots months ago. Got to have qualifying underlying conditions.
