whos to say the numbers arent inflated and or fictictious to provide a media scare the opposite direction?

This is ahere i feel im trying to maintain a view from both sides and soooo many are not. They are sold one way or another.

Trump and his big ass mouth started the political aspect. I dont want to make this thread political and it went way off track from what its intent was, which was intended to be a thread where we can post informative information and discuss it with regards to the Blazers and games.
At any rate, im not going to belittle, demean or talk down to anyone regardless of where they stand or the questions they pose or the answers they give.
To me its sad, i mean it makes me sad to see so many intelligent people resort to childish insults over others not agreeing with them over this considering all the misinformation etc that has gone on.

how can everyone not understand how utterly confusing this has all been and show just a bit more leniency towards those we don't see eye to eye with on this?

Yes.

Just because people are vaccinated doesn't mean they can't get it, especially this new Delta Variant. Kids under 12 aren't vaccinated and are more vulnerable. People with 72 hour negative tests don't mean they didn't get it between then.

So yeah, it's very possible it can be spreadable games.

yeah platy filled me in on kids under 12 not being vaccinated as well.
Sucks. Now all families have to go get tests to take their kids to a game.

im not saying they are. My point more so is it woukd be ridiculius to see a venue, private or public mandate vax only allowed when other venues arent.
But if they all did, unvaxxed people wouldnt be able to do anything at all and that is not fair considering it isnt a law to be vaxxed.
Sure private business can do what they want and watch their business/sales diminish because of it.
Im fully vaxxed ut if i see a venue do that i will not give them my money or support.

I struggle to show leniency when I see people like politicians and preachers saying to not get a vaccine, not wear a mask. See it get politicized, and then to see innocent people die because of those idiots.
Not everything has to have a both sides have a point, let's all sit and think everyone's opinions are equally valid.
I can't remember the football player now, but there was an NFL player who was opposed to his team bringing in scientists to talk to the team about the vaccine, didn't feel it was right. But when asked whether he was getting the vaccine, said he needed more information. That's the sort of bullshit that pisses me off. They're bringing in people that went to school for many years studying this stuff to talk to you and give you that more information. Where else is he planning on getting it? Fuck that guy. That's what I was referring to in the refusal by way of "asking questions"
People don't trust scientists, but you're blaming it on the media. The science is there. People should stop listening to entertainers masquerading as the news.

Thing is most of those employees would tKe the risk themselves. I can provide a couple of types of evidence. First. I know first hand the only reason why my company enforces it is because we can get shut down if not.
Second i see many many many companies not enforcing it…even today.

using employers not wanting to put employees at risk is a cop out. The real reason its enforced when it is, is most companies cant afford to have a forced shut down imposed by the state.

They're not useless but they have produced false negatives and false positives for the quick tests..the only really accurate tests take a couple days to process. you could not be infected...get tested and get infected before your results came back ...

Innocent people that are more willing to listen to a preacher who says god will save them, they don't need a vaccine. How exactly do you educate those people? Information is readily available, people choose where they educate themselves. Some make stupid choices

I couldn't disagree with this more....the VA hospital, everyone I know who is back to work require covid safe environments...if you are self employed you may not choose that route but long term business plans today include a safer environment for the general public to share space..it's common sense to me. Nobody needs to politicize it, it's everyone's problem. The worst thing a company could do now is have a death from covid or spread throughout the staff that shuts them down..wearing a mask and getting a vax isn't anywhere near as serious as that outcome. I doubt an insurance company would touch a business this year that doesn't have a covid filter in their place of work and safety protocols..if people could just come together behind helping stop this from spreading more we could get back to normalcy sooner. The Blazers want this to work, not have to shut down after one game because of masks or vaccine requirements

nevermind how I was talking about religions generally being non-inclusive. Tell me about how the LGBTQ population is so well readily welcomed in religions. My comment on religions clearly went over his head. Religions are social-cultural systems of designated behaviors and practices, morals, beliefs, worldview, etc. Giving money does not make you a better person or religions or whatever. Plenty of religions give money to political causes to further their agendas and beliefs. There are reasons religions battle one another. There are reasons multiple religions exist. People choose and/or conform based on their beliefs. One minute, dude's talking about people being sheep and taking the vaccine; the next minute, he's defending the sheep that hide in their religion.

I just had a logging crew, a plumbing crew and a water catchment crew work on my place this summer and everyone had masks and distancing and seemed happy to see us masked as well....I'm talking about public shared spaces...not steel mills though...I have no idea what you guys chopping metal do or talk about..I can say everyone I know working is happy to follow safety protocol so be assured...it's not about making a buck before they get shut down, it's about staying open long term....my oldest son's cable crew is on quarantine in N California right now over a covid case and my daughter in laws company just went through the same thing...it's serious shit

CDC has only recommended vaccines for 12-and-older. Not sure if/when that's being reviewed, but presently those under 12 aren't legally permitted to receive the vaccine.

Kids back in school have to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status.

I know in Redmond they are having a school board meeting tonight and at the last meeting the board voted to look at how to not enforce the mandate. Teachers and Admins can loose their licenses if they don't, but some boards don't care and are voting to not require masks in schools even though their is a mask mandate.

No if school boards vote to force schools to ignore mask mandates, any teachers or administrators who do not enforce the mandates can be stripped of their teaching license if the state chooses. So a teacher could be forced by the board not to enforce it and legally the state can take their teaching license from them.
