?? McConnel and his boys wrote the bill and gave a deadline of yesterday to pass it after giving it to the other side just a day or so before? The bill should be openly discussed from a group involving both parties, not just republicans.. What bill are you talking about?

I have no problem with that as long as it is discussed and agreed from both sides. moscow mitch doesn't appear to like bipartisan bills and likes to only vote on what he approves. Are you aware of how many house bills mcconnell refuses to bring to vote in the senate.

I am saying that thousands of people in the last 2-3 weeks have lost jobs, have been quarantined, have bills that must be paid and they should be doing something as quickly as possible to help those people. The bill was given to the dems either wednesday or thursday with little time given for discussion and it is only Saturday now. How quick did you expect a trillion dollar bill to be passed?

It’s an emergency. Dems need to hurry up and read the motherfucker and actually get something done. They look like complete fuckheads right now. There is only one person that has been calling it the Chinese flu and he even had Corona virus crossed out and sharpie gate struck again w ith him or an aid wrote in Chinese flu. He changed the name well after the fact. Is it a big deal? No, but it's just another example of trump stirring the pot for no reason. I even heard that a republican politician say that we should boycott Asian businesses. Is this what we want the USA to be known for? Other Asian Americans have been threatened and assaulted all due to this inept president. When is enough, enough?

I have two Asian daughter in laws and luckily they haven't been harassed both are conservative Christians, they harassed more because of that, people that harass others are usually insecure, hateful and or both. Much of it is done for sport too jokingly.
The Spanish flu originated from the same place the Spanish fly did, I think.

My problem with Trump and his cronies repeatedly calling it the Chinese virus:

First of all, it is 100% unnecessary. The virus already has a name; covid19 technically, or more generically, corona virus. It has already been named, and the entire world is calling it that. The comparison to Spanish flue and the etymology of its name is non existent. There is absolutely no reason to cross out the word "Corona virus" and sharpie in "Chinese virus" and train your whole staff to repeat it ad nauseam, unless you are doing it for a reason. It's basically a way to look down on another country, create xenophobic connotations which help to further add to Trump's nationalistic and isolationist policies, and etc.

It's 100% unnecessary. And yes, words have consequences. People will be harrassed because of this.
