Crawford got a $5 million contract, with a player option. It's not like he was in hot demand, and according to people like you, Nate has basically handed him the team in ISOs at the end of games.

What's your point?
 
If a professional athlete can't take the criticism of the media then how do they continue to play? Every player gets eaten alive by one media outlet or another at one point and time in there career.

I'm thinking its the media. The Blazers being the only team in Portland means everything gets blown out of proportion. Him and Felton have been lit up by the Media. Even Roy got a ton of bad media its just how small markets with horrible sports reporters roll.

I tend to agree with this. The Oregonian even seems to be more interested in reporting bad news about the biggest sports team in the state, UO football, than actually reporting on good things about the team.

Nate has got to be real tired of the drama with JC and RF. Bunch of sensative little babies! If they werent playing like shit, this wouldnt be an issue.

I think it's us. These guys know what is written about him online. One of the reasons he came here is because he thought the fans wanted him. Now he hears about the Crawful nickname and that has hurt him. Honestly.

thats really takeb out if context he is having fun with fans there. all his other tweets arent emo like that.
i cant copy tweets on my phone but he has a few today that praise our city and fans and saying he likes it here.

I think you give far too much weight to the back-chatter that occurs on message boards having an impact on professional athletes. "lil' bro" warning Crawford sounds like Brandon Roy to me ... and it probably has to do with Nate and his distribution of minutes and the like.

If he doesn't have thick skin by now, the guy would have been out of the league a long time ago. Still, I've never seen someone shoot himself in the foot like that.... the new age of twitter!
 
pretty sure lil bro is Isiah thomas, and am guessing when he was deciding between Sacramento and Portland, thomas was probably getting him to go there, and now he's saying should have listened to you.

Maybe Roy was telling him that he used to have carte blanch with the team, and he expected to have the same.

I doubt it was the guy from UW, since why would his opinion about Portland matter? He's never played here.
